Palace third choice when we were weak in that position.

Media outraged Phil Foden with a grand total of 53mins played in the prem not in the team love in for for Man City players. Imagine if AWB had broken into Liverpool team we wouldn't be hearing anything else.

No Callum Wilson either, he's a better bet that Welbeck imo, offers something else, plays regularly and has a good attitude.

To be fair, they came back late from the world cup which is why they haven't been in (in theory). However, if it happens in the next squad I'll agree.

Difference being that we have a top class right back in Trippier, and an excellent prospect in TAA with 5 times the professional appearances Aaron has. England has zero top class attacking midfielders, with the skill and technique on the ball that Foden has. But yes, let’s keep looking for reasons to be outraged.

Sorry but that is not true. AWB is a really exciting prospect but TAA has been around longer. Not to say AWB can't challenge him in time though

There's a reason for that

There is plenty of time for AWB to get in the team. The squad very much looks like the World Cup squad (minus those who don't want to play or have retired, and replacing them with the standby players).
A slower transition will probably suit the squad as well as new faces when they are eventually introduced into the team. |

I think if you make 4th in World Cup you shoobe rewarded with a squad overhaul.

Southgate didn't take Wheelchair or Shelvey who although I despise, both offered something we missed at the WC. He seems to be waiting on Llana to finally have a good full season which I can't see happening with Pools current forward line and injuries, for me this is the time to blood the likes of Maddison and Foden in particular, the whole point of adopting the Germany model is that you then bring the Under 19s/21s through.

So if he doesn't fancy Shelvey or Wheelchair, with Llana struggling to get back into the Liverpool side, who plays that role?

No idea, but how could anyone think Foden warrants inclusion?

I'm glad in a way he's not. Every decent performance racked up will get him attention one way or another eventually. Let him just get any extra game time and senior experience under his belt for now.

Southgate is a turd, and I expect AWB to consistently out perform TAA but never get a sniff.
I hope AWB joins the DR Congo

Because the waistcoat wonder has been banging on about looking to the future. He has even left out Sancho who managed games for Dortmund last season.
