We could have done with his finishing yesterday.

Though now that he is on the way home from Asia, I am confident we will get a result against Perth this Saturday and carry on in the pre-season cup.

Yeah, the hate there is all about Farina. Didn't care too much for QLD prior to him being there, now I dislike them a lot more.

The best in the land support we saw in the Northern Terrace of Melbourne's crowd may not be as influential and powerful this coming season owing to a factional 'split' that occurred during the off season.

Hopefully it wont be too much of a big deal, but some of the early signs aren't great ...

Most teams have had a high turnover of key players and it's difficult to predict who will do well. The only sure thing is that Melbourne Victory won't dominate quite as much as they did last season.

My top 4:
Qld Roar
Sydney FC
Melbourne Victory
Perth Glory.

No room for United this season

Melbourne Victory have strengthened their squad immensely, and way more than any other squad. Though of course it remains to be seen if Merrick can harness this into a winning formula on the pitch.

It will be his biggest test yet. Personally, I think we have more depth in positions, and more class in every area than any other club by a considerable margin. Moreover, there is another Brazilian striker on his way.
