palacebros is playing for a contract
I shall be casting my eye over Whyteleafe... it is the second week in 3 that the Rams have had no game... just not fair.

It is good to see you back, Waddoneagle, hope you are feeling better - and 3 points at Scunthorpe will help also!

Dulwich will be looking to return to form after last night's defeat by the Hersham Boys.

I'm looking forward to my first Hamlet game of the season on Saturday (after making an arse of myself playing for their supporters team in the morning). Anybody else going?

LATEST NEWS: RESERVES RUN RIOT
The Reserves were in action on Wednesday night at Dulwich Hamlet FC in the Capital League Cup and came away from Champion Hill with a fanstastic 6-1 victory.

It was an entertaining game with both teams playing some excellent football. Hamlet were reduced to ten men early in the first half when their defender handled the ball on the line to deny a goalscoring opportunity. However notwithstanding the fact that Hamlet were down to 10 men, the Rams worked hard for 90 minutes and gradually ground the hosts down. Goalscorers were Arafat Kabuye 3, Austin Gacheru 2 and Greg Andrews.

Team: Persaw, Goodyear, Watts, Way, Wells, Andrews, Kabuye, Hasouim, Gacheru, Douglas, Oni. Subs - Sefaah, Oliverio, Isa

Dulwich Hamlet 5 Croydon Athletic 2

Very entertaining open game, great value at £7 for adults. Dulwich are getting closer to the playoff places. Croydon should finish mid-table.

Sounds a good game, The Rams have lost 4 first team players in the last couple of weeks, So was always going to be a struggle to a strong Dulwich team.

LEATHERHEAD 2 CROYDON ATHLETIC 3
LEATHERHEAD 2 CROYDON ATHLETIC 3
TUESDAY 20th NOVEMBER 2007

Croydon Athletic came away with a win and three well earned points from Fetcham Grove on a wet and blustery Tuesday night with goals by Moses Ademola and Arafat Kabuye.

The beginning of the match saw Leatherhead looking the most likely to score with several chances falling to the Tanners. Croydon took time to settle down with Shoban Hajuini making his debut in midfield, Austin Gacheru making his first start for the Rams and Ryan Watts back in the side after a long lay off with injury. It was the home side who took the lead in the 31st minute when three Croydon Athletic players were beaten on the right wing, and the ball was crossed in to Scott Bennetts to hit the ball home on the turn. As half time approached, Carlo Castrechino got on the end of a corner, but Sam Mott in the Croydon goal pulled off a good save to deny the Tanners.

The second half saw neither side dominating, but Croydon Athletic gradually began to make a few chances, with Michael Harney’s shot straight at the keeper and Jordan Kiffin causing problems in the Tanners’ defence. On 50 minutes the pressure paid off when Moses Ademola had a great strike from 25 yards beating the keeper and bringing the Rams back into the game. Kabuye was brought on in the 63rd minute, but immediately Leatherhead went back into the lead with Alex Tiesse racing through on goal to make it 2-1 to the home side. The Rams began to pick up the pace though, with another youth team player Tomiwa Oni looking lively after coming on from the bench, and Kabuye was quick to test the Leatherhead defence with a darting run on the wing that was just kept out. Harney saw his volley just go over the bar in the 78th minute, followed by an attempt by Liam Shirley which the keeper managed to hold on to.

In the 88th minute Kabuye was quick to spot the keeper off his line, and his perfect chip found the back of the net to keep the Croydon faithful optimistic about taking some points back, and with the Rams pushing for the winner, Ademola got his second of the game with a volley on 90 minutes.

Croydon Athletic: Sam Mott, Nathan Campbell, Michael Harney, Luke Adams, Richard Blackwell, Liam Shirley, Jordan Kiffin, Shoban Hajuini, Moses Ademola, Austin Gacheru (83 mins Tomiwa Oni), Ryan Watts (62 mins Arafat Kabuye) Subs not used: Matthew Way, Reis Aslan

Your team .v. mine then

Sittingbourne have a new manager after ex Palace man Steve Lovell left for Ashford Town. The new guy is Gary Abbott who played up front for Aldershot, Barnet, Welling and others. Mark Beeney stood in as caretaker for two games and the changes don't seem to have affected performances that much. The last two SFC games have been draws against high flying Walton & Hersham and Tooting & Mitcham.
Sittingbourne players to watch out for: Anthony Hogg in midfield and Bradley Spice up front.

I'm going Colchester so expect a full report here by the time I get home.
