Chelsea loverboy Chris "knob" Sutton getting his excuses in

I can't imagine that he'd give the same grace to another club. Yes it's tough when you have all those very expensive players in your squad, what is he to do except lose 4 nil?

I agree Spindle.

Losing Hazard was a blow, but they knew it was going to happen. David Luis going is fine, as he isn’t that good anymore and would have been a nuisance to Lampard had he stayed.

They have a huge squad to choose their 25 from still.

Any side relying on Tammy Abraham up front is going to struggle. Shame they lost to those utter ***** though.

If TA hadn't hit the post then might have been a different game?

Lampard is to blame for picking the non-scoring forward when he could've played Batman instead. Management failure.

For Chelsea, Batshuayi IS the 'non-scoring forward'. He isn't injured, he was just left behind with Bakayoko - when Chelsea decide they don't like you, they rarely change their mind. I hope Lampard gives Bats half an hour, next game, and he doesn't produce again. We need him in January ! (loan + option to buy).

That is a fair shout but they'll be adding Tammy to that list. Bloke is lightweight.

Surprised Tammy Abraham is their number one Striker always thought he was very average especially for a club in the Champions League.

Makes you wonder whether Chelsea will be top 4 this season especially with their transfer ban.

Bats is a top finisher and comes alive in the box but maybe Lampard is expecting much more than that.

Chelsea dominated large periods of that game. Wankers couldn`t get the ball out of their own half and then got a flukey penalty

Its a lack of cutting edge with Hazard gone, like what often happens when you take Wilf out of Palace and Messi out of Barca.

Agree, Spurs were struggling in the weekend till Ericsson turned up...

I watched MOTD and it did look like Chelsea played well but manure were able to finish with what 5 attempts at goal?

True, between that and the gifted penalty. Tammy is still shit though. I'd be disappointed if he rocked up for us so i can only image what the Chelsea fans with their expectations think. From Higuain to Abraham must be painful.

Higuain was pretty average to be fair, Chelsea have form, for ruining good strikers, Shevchenko, Torres etc etc

Higuain was finished before he came to Chelsea.

According to a Chelsea fan at work, Bats had a terrible pre season missing loads of chances.
