He played well today, no goal but a good performance for a front man, especially when, after the first goal, we went 1 up top and left him pretty isolated up there at times.

A great performance from big Ben. Excellent hold up play. We actually retained the ball upfront and he was able to link the play. Let's hope this is a start of a strong run of appearances.

Benteke was alright but for his wages and what we paid he should be head and shoulders over most of our players, not a poor second to academy boys

Most of the players did their job today and do so most games, Benteke has only done his job twice this season

people are saying he played well because a tall centre forward won a few headers. Murray used to do that too, and find time to score loads of goals.

Just woke up from a dream , Benteke scored a hatrick v the scousers.

I had a feeling playing against his old club will spur him on but Now it' just seems destined .

Come on tekkers prove the doubters wrong , in my opinion a better all round forward than Kane on his day just needs it to click again.
