would a shocking state of affairs the recruitment is at this club.
I think if Benteke and Wickham are both injured again Roy has already made his mind up he would prefer to play Ayew or Wilf and Andros as strikers.

True, especially if Moses arrives. That's why a Sorloth loan move is the best for all concerned.

Maybe it won't happen, and that's where the fee comes in because that sort of fee shouldn't be buying "potential".

Nobody gives Reideweld stick for his laughable £9m or so fee and he usually doesn't even make the bench. What has he ever done aside some simple passes in the centre under no pressure?
Sorry? Is there anyone who's looking at Reideweld as value for money? The club's pants were pulled down with both of these transfers. You're right, the players in question shouldn't be pilloried over this. However, it's difficult to see how Freedman and chums are still in a job.

Glad he is scoring, just shows that Roy doesn't know how to get the best out of our strikers, big Sam and Pardew got benteke firing but this system we never seem to cross the ball into the box for anyone to really get onto it when we do it is over hit, Townsend cross at Leicester for big Ben's first goal of last season is all we really need for our big men and i am sure they will score, instead of working the ball into the box. Hopefully comes back stronger and determined to be our number 1 striker

Sørloth scores in training for Gent means RH doesn’t know how to get the best out of him?

Probably written by the same people who wanted Gayle as our number one striker when he scored multiple goals in an u'23 match, against Bromley, and against Charlton youth team.

well Roy has had a full season and a half with us now and our 30m Striker has scored 3 (compared to his 17 under Pardew + Big Sam) Sorloth 0 and not given many minutes to show he can score plus the way we play doesn't suit our strikers i.e no actual crosses. Ayew has scored twice in 17 appearances including only 2 shots on goal pretty much the whole season. so i do believe if we played with more crosses and instructing our big forward to get in the box when we are attacking i think Sorloth would have a few more goals then 0.

not dissing RH at all but i think he doesn't get the best out of our forwards due to the narrow, working the ball into the box tactics.

It's all about risk-free possession football. It was really obvious watching the Grimsby game. Nobody crossed first time on the run, even though there were loads of opportunities to do that.

Also, when a player makes a run in behind the defence and is under pressure from a defender, instead of squaring the ball blind they turn towards the corner flag and recycle possession. Good attacking runs turn into another spell of passing around the edge of the box.

I think we need to be braver around the opposition box. We are too patient and the lack of service must drive whoever is playing up front mad.
