Second Best Goal of the Season

During the season we saw some great Palace goals. I thought goal of the season was going to be close until Townsend decided to ruin that in the win over Manchester City. As a bit of fun I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone thought was the next best goal. I have included the other eight options from the clubs award in the poll above.

I went Andros vs Liverpool. What a team goal, completely beating Klopp’s press which the likes of Barcelona failed to do. Andros vs Burnley and Wilf vs Huddersfield close behind.

Agreed. Although I'd probably put Townsend's vs West Brom above it.

Kelly against Cardiff. Inspirational and showing the players the way forward...unfortunately they didn’t take it on.

Agree. I cannot help but think that had we thrown that game, Brighton would have gone into full meltdown mode and lost to Newcastle, and with Cardiff beating a shocking Man Utd side at the weekend, they would be down

Townsend v Liverpool, a superb team goal beating their high press and waltzing it in.

Last season's GOTS was Luka v Southampton right? I would say we had 6 better goals than that this season. An unusually good year and really helped us given our chance conversion more widely was very poor.

Townsend's against Cardiff was superb too.

He really only scores beautiful goals. Top man.

This! If any of the top 6 sides had scored that team goal up at Anfield they would have been raving about it for weeks. Little old Palace score it and it's barely mentioned. Townsend at home to Burnley and Zaha at Huddersfield also cracking strikes!

Really nice to actually score some worldy goals this season. Has been a while since we had a season with so many long range goals.

Our finishing was quite bipolar this year. Absolutely clinical some games (mostly against top teams), others we couldn't hit a fvcking barn door (mostly against shit teams). Remember the Cardiff and Grimsby combo of something like 65 shots in total and 1 goal?

I actually think Townsend against Liverpool should be the goal of the season. His goal against M City is great and everything, but I think the one against Liverpool is more impressive.

I only put the options that the clubs official vote had. It's the same reason why I didn't use goals from the last two games.

If a moderator wants to add any other goals to the vote feel free.
