Or did he think we were going to be pushing for the champions league last year? No he signed for money.

That 5 year contract is the reason we can command such a huge fee. Imagine if Wilf ran down his contract like our captain?

Would that please you?

Didnít say you didnít have a job! Clearly obsessed with money though.

We offered him the contract, we offered him the money, we wanted him to sign it to stop all the rumours last season and tie him down and it was mutually agreeable.

The fact that a player getting to the last year of a contract is usually such a big deal and often a failing shows that most people donít expect to see a player reach the end of a contract without being sold or signing a new one! Also is been widely reported that parish said to wilf at the time if a champions league club comes in with a reasonable offer we let you go after last season.

He wants to prove to the world how good he is. Whatís wrong with that? If the acceptable offer doesnít come, he doesnít go. He hasnít said or done anything yet to suggest he doesnít accept that so everything so far is reasonable.

Now no offer has come in and we find ourselves approaching the end of the window he should have to wait until next time and spend this season with us showing the top clubs why they need to sign him. He hasnít for now at least done anything wrong so why should anyone change the way that act/think about him?!

Don't be naive. If that's the going rate in your industry you take it. But sure as shit you know that other people, you know you are as good as, or better than, earn way more than you. If an opportunity comes up and you feel you've done enough at your present employer or you don't think they are doing enough then you are well in your rights to go. Who ******* cares if he signed for extra money of course he did. No one except a total ******* prat would say no to extra free money.

True , Wilf is gutted and frustrated . hes watched as the club has failed to invest and wasted 20 plus million on Jairo, Jach sorloth and FDB.

He gets frustrated with some of our players who are not on the same wave length as him . there is no coincidence that he plays better with those with technique e.g meyer.

This is really a stupid thread. Wilf has never directly come out and said he wants to leave. Yes he has said he wants to play Champions League football and not one Palace fan can ever say his talent doesnít deserve to test himself at the highest level. Forget the dark arts and his stupid brother, Wilf will give his all for us as he has always.

Like a ******* hero. Sacrificing another year of his career for a club on its way down after being underfunded since Jan2017? Zaha is a ******* Palace legend, and I hope he gets the TOP Champions League club he deserves next summer. Not Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd. He needs Liverpool, Man City, PSG, Barca or Real Madrid.

Agree 100%. We had a superb team June 2018. We didn’t replace Cabaye or RLC and so far haven’t replaced AWB. We’ve not spent properly since Jan 2017. Before, I was hoping we would leverage Wilf to push ourselves towards Europa League football. Win win for Palace and Zaha. Now it is clear that we are using Zaha just to stop relegation after years of underfunding my sympathies are firmly with the player. Hope Wilf gets his move to a Champions League club in 12 months time.

Itís not underfunding. Itís restrictions on investment due to insufficient revenue generation. That combined with poor recruitment has put us in a bit of a pickle. Why donít you understand that?

I'll always support him 100% whilst he's playing for us. If, and it's a big IF he decides that he doesn't want to give 100% to the club anymore then I will take issue. Until then, it's as you were for me.

The Premier League Short Term Cost Control rules (introduced in 2013) were scrapped earlier this month and no longer apply.

But Financial Fair Play rules still apply.

Who Cares. He's not good enough for the Champions League anyway. He acts too large for his Boots. He thinks he's in the same league as Messi and Ronaldo. He's nothing but a whining Bitch, just like when he got sent of against Southampton, can't control his emotions. He's got everything here, what more does he want? I ain't going to worship someone on that kind of money, hes an overrated idiot who doesn't respect anyone and doesnt give a shit about Palace whatsoever. I suppose he'll Be the next one to post a picture up wearing an Arsenal shirt when he was a kid like Arron.

He deserves CL football and to play for a big club, I feel like he's slummed it with us for long enough and needs to show everyone what he can do.

How anyone can begrudge him a move after everything he's done for us is beyond me.

What a load of old crap. Where does this self loathing and pity shit come from? We owe Wilf the same as he owes us - nothing!

You make it sound as if he's doing us a favour by playing for us. He's being paid circa £130k a week to do his job and he knew the score a year ago when he signed the contract. I don't want him to go and think he's been great for us, but get a grip ffs.
