There is an option not mentioned here that you may want to consider.

In PC world (and i'm sure somewhere online) you can get a networking kit that uses the houses Electrical wire. You plug in a special plug and this connects to the network port of your computer (I'm assuming you have these). I believe it also comes with a Router, but I didn't have a too closer look - maybe go and investigate - this would mean no security problems like you may have with wireless (as you are not v. computer orientated) and no need to rip up the carpets to install new wire.

Is what i use, with a D-link Router. You can have 4 computers using the router but its not wireless (just run a wire). Wireless is nice but for only two computer im not sure its worth it, unless ones a laptop.....cos then you can work anywhere which is great.

Got the same set up and got Zen Broad band. Do you use WEP or WPA on your wireless?
