Which championship club has made a profit over the last two seasons and which one despite spending 120 million on a new stadium is forecast to lose 16 million over the same period.

I think you are missing the point. The one thing that hasn't cost them any money is the stadium. They were loaned the money on an interest free basis. Had they actually had to borrow the money on commerical terms well no one would have loaned it to them so they wouldn't have a stadium at all, but let's pretend that they could have borrowed the cash the risk is so high the rate of interest on the loan would be massive, say 10% plus. So that's 10m or more a year that isn't included in the 8m loss.

Yeah but it doesn't count when its Brighton, the stadium was a present and the 8m per annum losses don't matter cos they've big crowds and they make pies at the ground

All those ST holders and capacity crowds and still losing all that money, I guess those pies are going to get even more expensive

Thats good !
The board of directors can now pay the fans back for paying off the debt owed to the St Johns Ambulance brigade.

Doesn't matter how many fans you have in your interest free stadium when your transfer policy is 'what Gus wants, Gus gets'. They have 1 striker who cost 3M with a shit goal scoring record so to solve the problem they spend 2M more on another striker.

What about the massive fine for the breach of the FFP rules, if you do happen to get promoted (I mean it's hard to see how as things stand but maybe you will get lucky and your manager quits or something)

Surely even Brighton fans can see by now that Poyet is a liability and not an asset.

Gus will be going nowhere for a while yet, as he has finished the project that he has set for us.
