Switching iPad to a new iTunes library

I want to connect my iPad to a new laptop (both old and new devices are MacBooks). I understand that when I do so, my iPad will be 'wiped' of media and I'll then be able to add media from my new laptop.

My question is, specifically which media gets wiped? iTunes media, or all media?

Will I lose photos, cached videos on other apps, 'home videos', cached Spotify data etc?

Thanks

Why don't you just move your iTunes library to your new laptop?

I don't have the old computer. I have the iTunes media I want on the new MacBook, but I'm not sure whether I'll lose the non-iTunes media.
