Eddie Howe

Bournemouth created zero big chances against a Crystal Palace side who had 10 men for 71 mins and a defence which had Martin Kelly (backup RB), Kouyaté (a DM - no Cahill or Sakho) & Schlupp (backup LB).

Eddie Howe: “That’s as low as I’ve ever felt as afcb manager.”

Safe to say Roy tactically battered the lobotomised shitlark fraud with 10 men.

To be fair, we've struggled big time on numerous occassions against teams with 10 men, probably as well with not first choice back 4, so almost sounds a perfect fit for us.
But let us celebrate the joy of his self pity.

You could see that Bournemouth came to chase the ball down, force mistakes and hit us on the counter. They had no intention of trying to retain the ball and pass it around.

Us giving up possession when going down to ten men totally perplexed them. They were truly woeful.

My heart bleeds for him. Wouldn't want the obnoxious c-unit anywhere near our club. Ever. For once, I fear the weeds are right (had to happen at some point by the law of averages). Bournemouth and Howe are tinpot.

His rotational fouling tactics stink. 15 fouls to our 6. Somehow, our 6 fouls warranted 4 cards, whereas their 15 only deserved 3. Billing constantly got away with it, courtesy of a certain Mr Taylor

They will surely be easily safe but boy oh boy I would love to see that grotty little club get relegated.

They do seem to be going backwards a little. Thinking back to our home against them a couple of years ago - the infamous Benteke penalty game when Defoe scored twice in a 2-2 draw - they looked a vibrant team who knocked the ball round well, stretched us defensively and created plenty. Last night they were turgid and devoid of ideas, and from what I can see online their supporters are concerned that this is becoming the norm.

People on here were crying their eyes out that we missed out on Solanke to them for £20m. I forgot he was in the pitch last night.

Interesting snippet in the BBC match analysis:

"Since their promotion to the Premier League in 2015-16, Bournemouth have seen their opponents pick up 19 red cards, six more than any other side."

I thought we walked away when some doctor advised us that he was a crock. Although Solanke under a smug twat and a busted flush might be a different player than Solanke under an experienced mastermind, on the basis of last night this appears to have been wise. He was worse than Benteke by some distance.

In the first quarter of the second half I counted that they passed back to their last man over 10 times, when a man up! how useless is that?

Tbf all of our cards were warranted, Luka and the 2 Macs were professional fouls.
