Private Joseph Bulcock.
Private Richard Harker. Corporal Edwin Myers. Guardsman George Smith. Private John Williams. All played for Palace and died in the First World War...... That would be a good statue to have... My opinion..... |

Add to the above.....Norman Wood .. Killed in action.
Edward Bell....(Military Cross).? Killed in action. Harold Hanger . Killed in action. All Palace players...... About eight more ... need to research them. Some came back...... Could be a Quality statue different to the Norm..... Again, just my opinion..... |

Just seems like all this talk is about a statue for the sake of having a statue.
If there's no one person there's a general desire to have a statue of, then there's no reason to have one. A massive eagle would be good though, as a focal point and meeting point. |

Not sure as a statue but having CPFC-related historical memorials, plaques and suchlike around the place is a wonderful idea. Respectful and informing for all of us and a great nod to our past.

Probably right ....... More appropriate... Needs looking at though....... On a lighter note ... I think a statue of Phil Holder could save us a quid or two in bronze... |

Croydon Council's reports talk about the need for something at a 'human scale' at the back of the proposed new stand. Good enough excuse IMO!
