He also took us to our first FA Cup Semi and also shifted the club off the field which has shaped us into the club we are today. Playing in red and blue and being called the Eagles is how the majority of the generations that follow the club see the club, (unless you were around for the days that pre-date the Allison era) and that is down to Malcolm Allison. Hence why it is only right that his name is mentioned in who would be fitting for a statue at the ground.

Good contenders would be
Ian Wright (maybe not due to the whole badge kiss thing) Mark Bright Julian Speroni Steve Coppell (Not a player I know, but undoubtedly one of our best managers) Clinton Morrison |

I know the OP said player, but for me if we're going to have a statue of one person it has to be Sir Steve. No individual has imho done anything like as much for this club, and so he'd be the obvious choice.
If we are going to limit to players, I would agree with those who say Jim Cannon or Terry Long. Those two stand apart in our history as devoted one club men the like of which we'll probably never see again. Jules is the closest tho that we're ever likely to see in the modern game though, so if we wanted someone relevant to younger supporters now, he'd be a good choice. Although when AJ comes of the bench against Swansea on the last day of this season and scores the goal that keeps us up, perhaps he'll enter "statue territory" too. |

Giant Eagle with 100 ft wingspan, glowing red eyes and machine guns fitted to both wings, SP would fly this on match days and it would also need a back bomb door Pigeon shit style.
or just Jim Cannon or how about Vince Hilaire? |
