The French Police are on the side of the protesters by all accounts so it could get interesting if Macron try's to implement a state crackdown on legitimate protests .

I thought you were pro-austerity, welfare cuts and stripping workers rights. You certainly espouse unconditional support for politicians and policies that adhere to it.

More lies and an attempt at deflecting away from my valid opinion of Macrons Austerity program .

I have been on many protests against austerity and been involved in numerous Strikes for better pay , conditions etc .

I am voting Tory in the next election if Corbyn the biggest anti-EU Labour politician over the last three decades continues to let the small amount of shouty shouty remoaners within his party have their way against the Democratic vote to leave , I can always vote the Tories out another time but I can't vote out the EU again in my life-time or Merkel and Macron etc can I .

Anyway this thread is about the neoliberal French leader Macron and the Protest against his austerity and removal of french Labour laws.

Looking at the pictures of the protesters it is amazing to me how old many of thrm are. It really does seem like a cross section of ordinary people rather than just a youth thing.

I really wonder if this is a long term problem for Macron or will blow itself out before Christmas.

It'll die down like it did here in 2000 after some minor concessions.

More lies , I am thinking of voting Tory over Labours caving into the small but rabid group of remainers in the Labour party .

I want Brexit honoured as I can't vote out of the EU in my life-time again if Labour backtrack also I can vote out the Tories in the future but I can't vote out the Neoliberals that run the EU in Germany and France .

If you can't swallow information and process it then I truly don't give a shite what you think .

The working class and poor will vote Tory if Labour doesn't listen or deliver on it's promises over brexit .
I haven't voted Tory since the early 80s and that was once and both Corbyn and May could be history at the next election .

I have explained my reasons for voting Tory , The worst of two evils would be for Labour to abandon leaving the EU than a temporary Tory government , Let's face it Blair was no Socialist messiah and May is gaining respect for her NHS pay rises , Attack on Landlords profits and backing of the referendum vote .
What's Corbyn and Labours Policy on Brexit and honouring the referendum , They appear to be at odds but Corbyn a person who plays on his honesty and long-term beliefs is sacrificing them for power it seems to me .

Labour and Corbyn are not making any headway over Brexit and support since the last GE and are now both losing voters despite the Tories .

That's fair enough.

Personally, I just don't see the policies of the EU being anywhere close to the harm done by Tory-inflicted austerity, welfare cuts and anti-immigration rhetoric. In fact, I can only see them emboldened by our exit from the EU.

What I don't get is why smashing up a Historical monument, bricking the police by breaking up the pavement, setting fire to some poor sods car that he worked hard for and thieving from shops is a way of showing how pissed off you are. Pisses me off as I dont think this is what the Yellow Vest would advocate

have you not seen what the EU policies have done to Greece, Italy, Spain etc

Macron wants to abolish France as a nation state and join Merkle and the other Brussels fanatics in creating an undemocratic EU super state. He and the like care nothing about the average man/woman, only power and helping global multi nationals screw us all
