I don’t actually think Jose and Arsene would struggle there. My point was, any manager who Charlton could realistically get would struggle. Whether it had been Billy Davies (who I reate very much), Dowie, Peter Taylor etc. They all would have struggled post Curbishley, the same way anyone taking the Leicester job (PT happened to get it) would have struggled. And Limited_Edition – it’s pretty well known Dowie isnt buying the players – a number of BBSers will confirm this for you. I also don’t think given our recent performances (under a manager who many felt was better than Dowie) we can mock or laugh at Charlton. Both appointments look like disasters. |

In a way, you can feel sorry for him. But anyone who thinks Djimi Traore is "good" clearly needs psychiatric help.

We probably had a worse squad overall but the difference was AJ.
He won so many points. |

No point in having the best tools for the job if you dont know how to use them.

All our purchases since his arrival have been targetted by Dowie and then Andrew Mills/Richard Murray goes out and gets the targets if they can. Justin will confirm.

Klinx, you are gonna have to come up with a better argument to counter this straight from the horse's mouth view. |

Reed is 'Assistant Head Coach' and Mills is 'General Manager - Football'.
Not that fancy, but then again, what's in a title?

They should have a better squad aswell, finishing well last season and spending millions this season. The fact that they are bottom says it all about Dowie.
FA cup 3rd round at the Valley thankyou very much. The 'Club with no soul' vs The 'lesser team with a big bad chairman'! Its got Palace going through to the 4th round written all over it!! |

From what I know, Julian Gray wanted to go to Charlton, and his agent got in touch with Dowie, and they were told by dowie himself that it isnt him, but Mills who is chosing the players to be signed. And my point re the success of Taylor, and us being in a glass house about Taylor. the way things are going, we'll both be relegated. |

As bad as we are, we won't get relegated under Taylor. He kept a much worse side in Hull up last year. Look how shit they are under Parky (someone Charlton looked at, I think) this year, even though Parky's had a fair bit of money to spend. |

Julian Gray.
Whatever happened to him.

I certainly wouldn't want them in the Cup. It's quite strange, given how incredibly bad we are, that people would want to have Dowie at Selhurst celebrating an away victory whilst "fisting" the Charlton fans!!
