Maybe it would have been but it would have damaged our reputation and ability to bring players in. You sign someone, promise them a future at your club then offload them a couple of weeks later, hardly a respectable thing to do.

Agreed but why did we bring darcey in then?
Just being devils advocate ?

I honestly think long term Ward will end up back in the right back position and Blake will play centre back.

Ward is an excellent player but will take time to bed in and I'm certain his confidence would have taken a bit of a knock in the first few weeks bit he will work his way back into the side I'm sure.

My sentiments exactly.

Ward wants to play RB, Gary Speed believed Darcy Blake will be a Premiership CB one day, it all makes sense long term.

Ward - Darcy - Paddy - Parr. That's an awesome back four for this level.

Exactly, I believe it was a long term deal? 4 years perhaps?

Blake was their stand out player the game before that, and the whole Wales team was awful on Wednesday so you can't take a lot from that.

Very surprised at that. Thought it was Speroni, Ward, Ramage, Delaney, Parr, Jedinak, KG, Bolasie, Garvan/Moritz, Zaha, Murray
