Could it be that a very young player, who has been suffering with niggly injuries most of the season, and hasn't been able to get a real run in the side has just lost a little bit of form and maybe a bit of confidence?
Like Sears, I think one goal would probably give him a big boost.

He is playing for a team that has struggled at times (especially for goals), a team that doesn't always play the ball on the ground and doesn't keep posession for as long as we'd like - maybe it's hard for him and maybe he's still learning.

Whilst I agree that we expect too much from our youngsters, & should expect them to be a little inconsistent, I believe the reason we expect too much from them is because we massively over hype their ability & potential.
I don't really accept your 2nd point about the way the team plays. That description could apply to just about every team in the country. I mean you could even argue it applies to a Man utd team who are not really convincing, struggling to score goals & aren't dominating games in the manner they have come to expect. We are playing some decent stuff at times this season, & have actually been in a pretty decent run of form. Might it just be that Moses is not quite the next Messi that most of the BBS have built him upto be ? He is a good young player, who has the ability to turn a game, if only he can find the consistency to unlock that ability a bit more regularly. But then when you look at Championship clubs it seems that an awful lot of them have got youngsters coming through of a similar ilk.

If you check around a bit, you'll find that many consider that even Messi isn't the "new Messi". Not to mention Vic's contemporary Bojan, another "wonder boy" who is struggling a bit.
The hype around Messi and Bojan makes Vic's rep look modest. And you are talking out of your posterior regions if you think "an awful lot of Champs clubs" have players as talented as Vic.
Name a few.
