It is easy to state that he is the trouble maker but he has had many great games for West Brom and has consistently performed elsewhere during his career.

His salary seems to be 35,000 per week at West Brom and through their unwillingness to sell to QPR it is suggestive that at present they do not wish to sell to a direct competitor.

Even paying his full salary for 4 months (& I do not know the dynamics of loan deals), a player of his quality would be deadly in our division, putting us in a prime position for promotion and would be a healthy addition permanently if we were promoted.

That's well and true, 35k however, is seemingly beyond our financial capabilities.

A very good player, who works hard. I think his drive down South was hilarious, but also showed his passion and desire to play football (even if it also showed little respect for his parent club).

If he is on 15k a week, and would be willing to play for us, with a view to a permanent move in the summer, why not? Sorry to repeat the point, but he is a very good player - would offer us genuine pace up top, ie something different, and he's a proven Premiership player.

Sadly there'll be 10-15 clubs ahead of us should he be available.

Would there? If he can only go to a Championship club, and if he wants a London club it's either us or Watford.

Missing something here. 15,000 a week and can only play for a Championship club?

Well done GF have to hand it to you for trying, but your AJ on a 5 year deal idea had more chance of happening than this
