Talking his price up is great for all involved, he goes: we get big money, he stays and improves: we get even bigger money. Win/win. As long as he keeps his head down he'll be fine

I cannot actually believe the media are spouting this £40m nonsense. Bolasie is a very entertaining player but incredibly frustrating and lacks end product. If we could get half of that figure it would be a fantastic deal for us and we could sign someone far more effective in terms of goals and assists.

I'm in that camp. But at the same time, think he's very watchable and he should give us another year.

Us as fans prob look at team and players different to a manager would to us bolasie is a exciiting player to watch on his day but a manager might look at stats pro zone ect so if you take out his wonder game at Sunderland his scored 1 goal in 27 starts not got stats for assist let's say 5. Now a manager might think if a club is willing to pay us 20 million for example I can go and buy a winger for less with better or at least as good stats maybe not as flashy or as good to watch but every player has his price. Routledge Phillips at qpr Moses spring to mind if we don't get a big offer then we keep a exciting player and hope he adds goals to his game buying and selling players is just part of the game all teams get and lose players including man u and arsenal ect it's how they get the right price and replace them that counts pardew slapping a big price on bolasie straight away tells me he ain't going to be sold cheap but is ready to except a big offer

He's still improving as a player, and his more inconsistent moments would be magnified at a 'big club'. A sideways ish move to an Everton etc would be a waste of time, but if he continues his rate of improvement like he did this year, come the end of next season he'll deserve a move to a top club.

As others have said, you can't keep your best players forever (even clubs like. Liverpool experience this). The key is selling at a premium, and having contingencies for excellent replacements.

I'm of the belief that we need to vastly improve our passing game and Bolasie is more than a little overrated in terms of consistant end product. While I'd be satisfied to send a statement by telling a big club to 'f*ck off' and enforcing a contract, at the same time, an inflated fee would help us to bank real money and find a replacement who retains the ball better, which I think is more important over the course of a season.

I'm hoping to see Wilf on the left, Punch on the right and a new attcking midfielder that can create, like Sigurdson. With an upgrade on Ledley next to McArthur, that would be a midfield that can retain possession and score through the middle, not just breaking down the flanks and through set -pieces. Love YB7 but he can happily go for the right price. Only Dann, Punch and McArthur are true transfer concerns for me.

Bolasie is improving every season. It makes no sense for anybody to sell him.

It's a really hard choice.

1. Stay, you have a great partnership with Wilf on the other wing. If we get a decent striker in and a few more additons we could really push onwards. Also if he can form a decent partnership with Pape it would free him up at bit more to cut inside. Stay work hard and push forward.

2. Go. His stock is at the top and he has spent years working to get to the Prem. It's an opo to secure his financial future with his family. He might also improve as a player.

I would like to think he'd give us one more season but he might see the green and go.

Yes, I am getting the feeling he may be thinking that he has done his time with us now. He has been with us a while.

Will be interesting to see if other teams are so accepting of him though. It showed at Man Utd that they didn't really like Wilf's style of play and tried to train it out of him.

We have come to enjoy that flair at Palace and accept that it isn't consistent. We know Bolasie will have a number of bad games... but those odd great games are worth the cost. Will other clubs feel the same way?

This is all Agent vs Club right now. I think Bolasie would probably feel it is time to up his ambitions too.

I think he should talk to Wilf about the realities of a 'dream move'

However a player needs to have the ego/self belief to think they will always succeed and it wont happen to them.

If we got offered 15-20m I'd take it.

His end product still isnt of a consistently high quality and I think he would be replaceable. Maybe not with a player who offers as much 'gets you off your seat' excitement but who may contribute more in end product.

That said, to lose him to a Stoke/West Ham etc would be very disappointing and I cant see a top 6/7 wanting him at the moment.

This is so true.

I was drinking with some idiots in the pub recently who failed to grasp this very point.

They bleated about why would he go to a big club and sit on the bench?

I tried to explain to these morons that he wouldn't be going there to warm the bench. He would be going there to be first name on the team sheet.

All players have that confidence on the way up.

I need new drinking buddies
