Surely as Warnock is retired he could stick 2 fingers up to the FA as they have no legal authority.

Well a lifetime ban, although probably meaningless in terms of practical application to Warnock specifically, would at least send out a strong message to others that activities of this nature (if proven) will be dealt with in the strongest possible terms.

Surely demanding money from subordinates for preferential treatment is a) a criminal offence - bribery or extortion and b) a breach of any employment contract.

You would think with the assaults on footballers and pitch invasions that the FA would have other things to worry about rather than an accusation by 1 insignificant player in a world where thousands have played for NW and no one else is saying the same.

Also possible there was a lack of evidence but doesn't mean it didn't happen. If there are enough players willing to come forward then could be a witness of some description?

Are you seriously suggesting that Puncheon just made it up? To me that simply lacks credibility, of course documentary evidence will be lacking though as you say.

I used to know a couple of players back from the 2010 season and went out a few times with players after games etc.

More than one player joked about Warnock doing this with subs. Particularly those who had performance related bonus'.
