Yes! I saw him bowl against Surrey for Glocs last year & thought he looked awful

Interestingly, I just looked that game up on Cricinfo.

16 of the 20 Glocs wickets fell to spin, with Virdi & Moriarty taking 9 in the 1st innings & opening the bowling in the 2nd - and that was last May

Yes, I too have discovered that someone must have pinched my sign-in and has posted under my name, some nonsence about the bowling line-up being incapable of getting teams out twice

I, of course, have never doubted them

Went to that game, do enjoy a double spin attack. Seem to remember growing up it was always a later summer thing rather than a spring thing, last year felt unusual although ive only started going regularly in the last few years. Its a much greener top so far this year than last judging by the close up look at lunch!

The guest passes seem to work OK, just produces a digital ticket, and I don't think it reduces the 8 allowance. Looks like I can still book 8 guest tickets, despite using two at the weekend.

One thing I still find odd as a fairly new member, is the inconsistencies when you are asked to shoew the membership card. Few times on Saturday, just walked into the pavilion using the Galadari side entrance without being asked. On another occasion I was asked to show my card coming from the pavilion to the 175 suite which hadnt happened before. No big problem, just a bit of a faff I guess. Few jobsworth stewards out there but lovely on the whole, especially the Area Manager one who was on the pavilion lower tier on Saturday, quite the character and seems like a lovely bloke. Joking with kids and stuff.

I have to be honest I've not watched much this season (finding the football much better). It hasn't been the best start. I was hoping after the way last season ended we would have a good start. The biggest problem is conceding around 500 in every game your not going to win much.

I'm going to try and do at least two days of the game later this week but I've got a few other things going on that may get in the way of that.

Keep posting, Robert. This is one of the few threads where rivalries are generally well-mannered & respectful.

So right those Three have been a real bonus and a pleasant surprise. As for Kent, no fear we will be all over them like a rash.

Kent fans - is there any particular reason that the game vs Surrey is being played at Beckenham rather than Canterbury? Cheers.

I'm guessing here but it makes it easier for both sets of fans to get to?

The Kent Surrey county game is normally at Beckenham. You can get tickets from their site. 20 quid which will include a seat in their stand.
Surrey win toss and Patel off to a flying start.

For the same reason Kent Sussex matches are often played at Tunbridge Wells?

Stream a bit jittery. Expecting Charlie Chaplin in next with a ragtime piano accompaniment.

That would be exactly it. As a kent boy living in Surrey it makes sense for Kent to put this match on where more people can get to it. Just got back from Beckenham half an hour ago. Its been a good day for Surrey sadly and they had a lot of support in the ground

Cool, thanks.

I hadnít appreciated that Kent had conceded 500 runs or more in every first innings so far this season!

Has anybody heard if there is any improvement in Graham Thorpe's condition?
Just hope you make a full recovery and soon GT, we are all rooting for you.
