They've got a very good home record ... in League One, but let's not beat around the bush here - Next round here we come.

That not our strongest team. Kelly is defiantly ahead of Dann. MOM contender also last week why would you drop him?

Schlupp also is performing well. I would personally rest jimmy for Meyer if he runs the show as he’s capable. Then he replaces Schlupp weekend after.

Upfront it’s a lottery but think Batshayi needs start play 80 at least so he can integrate.

Playing against well organised sides out to deny us space in their half is not our strong suite. I think the game's a lot more evenly balanced than league positions might indicate, as we've seen with a buch of cup ties this year.

A big test in front of a sell out crowd, and a large national TV audience, and against the ultimate test a Premiership team led by an ex England manager. Only playing a top six side away would be seen as a bigger test by the football media, most of whom will give us little chance of progressing, and really will not want us to do anyway, wanting the competition to revert to norm being the property of the top teams in the country in their eyes.
Can we pass the test and progress? a big question, but after the way we destroyed Southend last night, in my mind not impossible if Crystal Palace take us lightly.
They have big name players, international players who's names are known all over the world, and to be fair not a bad player on their books being a premiership team. If they play well they should win, But will they? even the best teams can only play as well as the opposition let them.
If we play as well as last night, they will have to play well to beat us, Our clever players in midfield all being on it together, and the rest of the team responding to their promptings.
It is a chance for all our players to showcase their ability to a wide audience, in a game that nationally is the biggest in our clubs history. John, Ben, Herbie, and all the other players having a chance to advertise to the football world how good a player they are, and old man Coppinger show just how good a player he has been, overlooked by many big sides who would have benefited from his undoubted ability.
Do you think like me we have a fighters chance?
Will Palace play their strongest side ?
Will Roy let his precious premiership players change in our changing rooms? apparently he didn't at Notts County some years back when taking Fulham, whose own facilities were worse than Notts Counties, and like Barnsley got changed on the bus.
Who are the players you fear that you think can take us to the cleaners?
If you are a Palace fan reading this, are you confident you will be too good for us?
These and many more questions to be answered about this game, a game we the supporters of the Rovers can relax and enjoy, and where all the pressure is on the Palace to win. Please discuss and have your say.
Intresting and succinct thread, that.

Why are they all so reasonable and well thought-out? Has noone explained to them football forums are for petty slurs and grammar pedantry?

If we had three matches in a week I'd agree but there's essentially a two week period with two matches so i'd maintain the form of the team and take advantage of what looks like a potentially very favourable draw that could see us get to another semi-final something that might help us retain some of our more valuable players.
It is not the tiredness that concerns me, more the fact should any of our vital players pick up an injury its where would it leave us in the crucial league games ahead. Yes progress in the FA cup would be good especially as Doncaster is a very beatable team, hence why i suggested there are players we can call up that should be able to see us through without putting in our crucial players and risk injury, as they will be needed crucially in the league to see us to safety.

Doncaster's strength is in midfield. Kouyate and Luka's muscle and Meyer's movement should counteract this and if Ward and ßchlupp can get up the pitch we should be able to get the best out of Bemteke and Batman

Noone, Peter, goofy toothed singer! Herman's Hermits wasn't it? Mrs Brown and her lovely daughter, takes you back. I'm into Something Good. Were they linked? Lovely sunny days and jumpers for goalposts! Sixties nostalgia wasn't it? Marvellous.

I'd probably start Benteke and Ayew and have Sako and Batshuayi on the bench in the full knowledge that they should be coming on after 45 minutes and are less well crap. If we need to turn the match bringing Christian and Jordan off the bench is a bit unlikely to work.

Hen
Ward Kelly dann pva
Townsend McCarthur max shlupp
Bats ayew

Maybe not in that formation but those 11 allow flexibility if required

Tekkers on bench..could make case for jairo or cheik starting ahead of macca.

I’d take that but there is a danger that by playing your No2 keeper that you would stick with that however far you progressed, which I think is a dangerous prescient

Didn't see Sako in training pics . Also didn't see Sakho ( hope he is ok as he did seem in pain last week but carried on ) or Tomkins .
