Reading some Spanish releases, spotting the anomaly and making and a couple of posts on here took 5-10 minutes and that’s only because I don’t speak Spanish.

Also the comely wench was asleep.

Ministers let up to 10,000 travellers with coronavirus spread it across the country at the start of the pandemic by failing to bring in quarantine rules early enough, senior MPs have said.

The government was accused of making "critical errors" over how it treated those arriving in the UK in March, leading to COVID-19 taking hold faster.

Failing to catch "imported infection" then left the country with a "far worse" experience of the disease, the cross-party Commons home affairs select committee found.

Well that was pretty obvious. The number of people returning from Skiing holidays in Italy and France with the infection and not having to quarantine was ridiculous.

The UK seems to have a situation where people are almost encouraged to take a Med holiday, yet there is a rolling re-isolation of towns and cities.

Yet, I am the condescending prick for suggesting that the rush to normalcy is a bit ill advised.

A little Chilean perspective..Still, lots of restrictions here with some hesitant freedom of movement. But yet again, in the moneyed areas they have decided it is okay to open a couple of shopping malls. When Chile went from doing rather well to having a problem, it coincided with a previous desaration to get the shopping centres open.

They interviewed a few of the vegetables visiting the malls yesterday. One couple were clearly a retired pair and they commented that it must be okay because it was being allowed. Asked why they were visiting and they said they were bored and famcied a bit of window shopping (essentially).

You can't encourage people to be stupid, I think government and authorities exist to set up and maintain rules to protect people from themselves.

Ironically, last night CNN were holding up the UK as a shinning light when it comes to testing and getting the numbers under control...

Seemed a bit of an odd choice to me (maybe I read this thread too much), when I'm sure there are many other countries they could have put on a pedestal as an example of how to do the right thing.

Guy I play football with was out in Italy skiing when it kicked off, came back without quarantine and then 3 weeks later was off to Benidorm. Crazy when you think about it.

The word up here is it was a French bloke that works offshore, was tested positive at the heliport and refused travel. Instead of isolating as instructed he went on a pub crawl, the first of those pubs being my local, which is near the airport.

Yep, other than an armed arrest police state what can you do agains the selfish.

If there is truth in this, he should lose his job for starters.

Here, we had some early cases returning from Europe, testing positive, and driving to the malls before they were closed.

So many people arrested and bound over for later trial. I am fairly sure they wil 90% get slaps on the wrists in 3 months time.

At what point does a ‘selfish attitude’ become manslaughter?
