Why shouldn't he, when it is 700 plus years from their takeover but 9 years. 9 years that has seen us go from a lowly championship side to our 7th consecutive season in the premier league and an FA cup final appearance thrown in. I am not sure what has happened in the history of the club prior to 2010 that makes it something that should have not us show appreciation up to this very minute.

Regardless of the shortcomings in our transfer policy, and what appears to be a wage bill that looks inflated for a club our size, the team Hodgson put out on Saturday performed very very badly despite the resources at his disposal. Whether it is justifiable or not, the manager will carry the can and if Hodgson is unable to action change very quickly we will be thankful that we have Parish to make the difficult decision and get rid. His managerial appointments up to now, with the exception of FDB, have proved to be the right ones at the time of appointment considering their initial impact. However, as it is with most managers, over time their shortcomings become more apparent and a change becomes inevitable.

Or we could have the alternative 2763, where there hasnt been a Crystal Palace for 744 years.

If they hadn't stepped in to save the club, the new Crystal Palace FC would just have been starting their 1st season back in the League in League 2 and we'd be half way through renovating our Croydon Arena ground which would have been purchased in 2017 via funding supplied by the fans.

The same could be said about Simon Jordan in 2009. I think it is healthy for us to raise questions and not just constantly praise all the time.

CPFC2010 definitely saved the club in 2010, and we have improved massively on the pitch in that time. But whenever things don't go to plan, and the recent transfer window is surely something we can include in that bracket, saying in a HDeagle like fashion 'but he saved the club' seems more and more silly as time goes on.

Answers from the BBS experts on a postcard addressed to Roy at Selhurst Park.

Switchboard had a lot of good points made well, maybe they went over your head.

That's probably true but this situation now is of his own making. He has never deserved any of the pathetic abuse he has got on here and elsewhere but it is only fair that he should face questions over some of his decisions, especially recent transfers.
