Kind of proves what we are beginning to expect of San Vicente, if people are saying he should have saved that!
Helluva compliment.

On the other hand, I suspect VG may be personally a bit disappointed with the first one. If he throws himself across a bit further then he might get a body-part the way. Zero reaction time though, so he just has to get lucky.

His positioning/footwork wasn’t great. Again it’s small detail, but that could been better.

Shit happens and no keeper can save everything. Fact is goals were scored by one of the greatest ever strikers in Premier league history.

You really cannot gauge how well he played from a brief pick of what they think were the highlights on MOTD as Palace get a very raw deal on that show and many key moments are not shown or discussed when they deserve to be, like Wilf's blatant penalty yesterday when the City player never touched the ball even though a corner was given.

Guaita constantly kept City at bay as they had 25 shots in the game.

If you're taking about the one in the first half, a corner wasn't given

Great footage. Really highlights how many City attacks came down our right hand side.

Breaks the view that he was giving it to our fans .... just happy celebratory aggression .... I don't see a problem there.

Think Aguerro was just clever and clinical and we had to be tiring especially our centre halves. They worked so hard and cleared so many crosses. Sometimes we overanalyse here

Guaita has over performed his expected goals against more than any other keeper in the league.

With stats like these it’s always important to consider that keepers at disciplined, defensive sides have the benefit of defenders throwing bodies in the way. Keepers from Palace, Newcastle, Sheff United and Watford being the top 4 supports this, and Heaton (who we all know is good) that low, thanks to a poor Villa defence. But the fact that Guaita is so far out ahead is still testament to his excellence this season as an individual, which any palace fan can see.
