I love a good coffee in the morning, I often have two if possible. Plus the occasional tea later in the day, but it tends to send me to sleep.

Double espresso with just a dash of milk (your classic macchiato) first thing in the AM - guaranteed wakeup medicine.

Mug of Nescafe's best mid-morning and a mug of builders tea mid-afternoon.

Depending on when we have our evening meal, another cup of coffee either early evening or post-meal.

I'm seen as the odd one out in the family, the rest of whom will put the kettle on for a cuppa tea at every opportunity.

1 or 2 filter coffees and 3 or 4 teas, small mugs, less than half a teaspoon of sugar in each, no milk.

5 coffees a day if I'm working.
2 if I'm not.

2 big mugs of coffee soon as I get up. After that probably tea unless its warm when it'll be either squash or fizzy diet drinks.

Since working from home my tea consumption has increased (as a non coffee drinking person living/working in a top 5 coffee consuming nation never drank tea in the office)

4 or 5 strong (big cups) of tea a day on average now (luckily got a big shipment of tea bags before Brexit)

I do 2 cups of each a day. No sweet drinks or fizzy , unless its tonic infused with gin.

A coffee first thing then 4 or 5 cups of tea for the rest of the day. Maybe a hot chocolate at night

My tea and coffee intake is appalling. I have 2 coffees in the morning (I don't much enjoy the taste), but it's more habit to get me going. However, I'm a tea addict, so much so that I now drink caffeine free. I'll easily have 8-10 mugs some winter days. No sugar obviously or I'd have rotten as well as stained teeth and weigh a few more pounds.

Well this thread makes me feel better about my coffee consumption!

I had got to the point of having 4 a day and felt like it was way too much.

Usually its between 1-3 with 2 being a very common average.

I will usually have a decaf tea in the evening.

I'm a coffee snob so have a bean to cup machine. I basically do nothing before my 1st and 2nd cup. Typically have 4 back to back but that's it for the day or I get palpitations.

Will drink 1-2 cups of tea later in the day. Trying to find a fruity tea or something I like. I'm a sipper and drink fairly constantly.

Add 2-4 of pints of squash and water to that fairly easily.

2 mugs of tea in the morning and one after lunch, still cider in the evenings.

If we are eating out I’ll have a small black coffee alongside a brandy to finish the meal.

I doubt I’ve had any carbonated drink whatsoever since I fell out of love with gin a few years back.

None of either for me. I find the whole tea/coffee concept bizarre. I genuinely think some of my colleagues spend about an hour a day making the stuff and then having to go to the loo as a result and then wonder why their careers aren’t going as well as hoped!

I also find it strange that so many people say they don’t drink coffee to stay awake and can give it up anytime but to someone who doesn’t drink it, they seem hopelessly reliant on it to get through the day.

Knowing a big poo is 30-60 mins behind the first coffee is a perk

Absolutely fair. I actually have a problem with short sleeved shirts in general.
