Never mind VAR I struggle more with the foreign accents of Thiery Henry and Jamie Carragher and managers such as Puel, Silva ( won't be long before he is out of work) Klopp. Gardiola, Benetiz .

Why do we seem to be struggling with it?
Because our referees are so poor and have contradictory opinions
VAR can only improve things like Jack Stephens last week

I worked with FIFA and their principle then was delightfully simple ; the game should be the same in Wembley as it is at Dulwich Hamlet - importantly flaws and all.

Couldnít agree more. Money will corrupt that simplicity.

The difficulty with FIFA is that they don't oversee the game properly.

An example is that Premier League referees have been told to keep the players on the pitch when they can. That is a ridiculous comment as the law states what is a caution and a sending off offence. This piece of spin has been interpreted in such a way that the very poor Anthony Taylor thinks the correct decision is to only caution Ashley Barnes for simulation instead of giving him a second caution for calling the asst ref a cheat and using several bouts of foul and abusive language.

Meanwhile Wilf gets a second caution for clapping (quite correctly). However, the local FA quickly stresses that in an Ashley Barnes situation, you do send off the player. Both Barnes and Wilf though were subject to a couple of horrendous refereeing decisions in the first place, but that is the case the world over. And Saturday and Sunday local refs have to manage further hostile players and situations due to the incompetence of the likes of Anthony Taylor and Andre Marriner.

Good in principle, but the problem is it doesnít take into account technology, such as the big screens you now get at all major football grounds but not smaller grounds like DH.

Iím thinking of the Zidane headbutt. The refs didnít see it on the pitch but on the screens. Should they then have ignored it? But that also seems a bit counterintuitive.

When you throw the vast sums of money now changing hands in football, Iím amazed weíve lasted this long without it tbh.

Madness!

The view simple indeed! Ignore anything that can offer orofrsss.

There is so much financially at stake these days itís viral to get things right.

That said Iím sure most at FIFA are more interested in their own personal financial gain and looking after the big clubs.

An archaic organisation. That needs a bloody good shake up.

Video technology has not effected his tennis and cricket is played in the local park!

Hilarious seeing those Watford twats with snakes... they’ve sacked about 20 managers in the last few seasons.

What did they expect?

They sacked him anyway. Its not as if he walked like our friend Bruce. They believe that Watford dip in form last season was due to him wanting to go to Everton whereas if you follow his prem career it's is in his DNA. Turns a team around then hits a bump in the road and gets derailed. So annoying they beat us.
