That £90m would be squandered. Our recruitment policy is like blind darts.

Look at the teams in and around us - how many £30m players on > £100k a week have they got on their books?

Trouble is I don't trust us to achieve that and we will end up scratching around in August for another overpriced marquee signing and a few bits and bobs from the Unique Sports Management stable.

You can't compare the 4 men who took us out of administration, latterly the 3 when the Americans arrived, to single owners such as Jordan, Goldberg and Noades.
He’s the spokesman & driving force behind it. He makes the decisions & put the consortium together.

We’re now mixing it with some of the the biggest & richest clubs in the World. A bit of gratitude wouldn’t go amiss.

I didn’t see anyone else stumping up the money to save the club. It could of easily gone the other way like it did for Jordan & Goldberg.

Sounds to me like there’s a lot of jealousy towards a great businessman.

Mr Alexander doesn't seem to mind. There must be other staff who have worked with him throughout the past six years.

Youíve then got to somehow persuade Zaha, Wan-Bissaka, Milivojevic, Saigon and Townsend that CPFC is the best place for them. Never mind the dreamland new Main Stand every CPFC supporter was excited for. You have got so much work to do for the summer that your best off starting right now. It amazes me how thereís not been an overhaul of new scouts at the club and the ones who passed up on the option of signing Van Dijk as he was deemed too slow and not taking the opportunity to sign Maddison at Coventry. Yet we come up with the likes of Sorloth, Jach & Rakip. The best overseas player that weíve signed was Milivojevic and that was down to Allardyce. See a club like Brentford that is always able to replace a manager and coaching team where they should have far less resources than us. Look at the players theyíve signed over the years from lower league, or players not loved from bigger club and looked abroad and turned in to good players. Look at the players theyíve signed for little and made good profit on. This club is rapidly sleep walking towards a Charlton moment. Especially with Hodgson in charge. He has a good squad available to him do not get it twisted. He has under achieved immensely this season. Im so fed up of his negative approach when he tries to cover it up with the trying to play pretty keep ball football that has no meaning at the end of play! No ruthlessness to it. So many sides come to Selhurst and we let them do as they please, we show clubs far too much respect. I get the man is well respected and tries to be respectful but for **** sake we donít have to do it on the pitch. Selhurst is a hard place for away sides apparently, bollox is it. Still got 3 stands at the ground that are nowhere near Premier League standard. We all thought this season was about pushing on. I always hear Parish say we are a potential big side yet to be woken. Really? You need to make serious changes at the club and stop all this sentimental bollox like Roy being a Croydon boy who supported Palace, bringing Freedman back to be what exactly?

Iíve got a lot of respect for Parish, I think heís been brilliant and a great chairman and always will think that but wake up smell the coffee we are going backwards not forwards. Itís the same old story with Palace, nothing ever changes thatís why weíve never won anything and never progress past the point of just staying up.
And the hotdogs are stale... the beer is flat, the cheerleaders are past their prime.

It is easy to see everything is grim and loads of clubs are doing it better than us after back to back defeats.

There is still plenty to be positive about and beneath the dark clouds the club is in better shape than you think.

I agree we face a tough summer - but as long as Parish is at the helm I am confident he will see us through the choppy waters.

Still amazes me the level of criticism that SP gets. I wouldn't swap SP with any other owner/ownership group even if they have had some success over the short term.

SP has been fantastic overall but there is a very strong nagging doubt for me that he can take us any further. Are we expected over the next six years, if we stay up, and with the £1,000,000,000 incoming, to put up with the same old same old off the pitch re:facilities and investment? Or could another more infrastructure ambitious and capable CEO with that kind of money achieve more? I have to go with the latter.

He hasn't as his work the first season justified the purchase. That said, service or not, he's fallen off a cliff and that is incredibly unlucky for SP. It has crippled us this term. Then out of nowhere AWB arrives to negate it for our Board (and more). Kerching! Ahead of the game again. The complacency and sheer lack of talent at the top table to go into this season relying on Benteke and Wickham given their previous 12 month situations gave us this season. The home record, the lot. It's annoying for us having to watch but also because it must be wearing on SP. It's in our interests that he can be happy doing the job. The self inflicted wounds are hard to watch in so many ways. If he keeps Wilf for next season he's done a huge part of the job for next term already and we can start to build...…………..again.

In the early 90ís we finished 3rd and reached the FA cup final in 1990 both unarguable.

However our wonderful Chairman Noades also sold off our ground to Altonwood ( his company) and then the training ground and then we got relegated and he asset stripped the rest ultimately resulting in Goldberg and the first of the administrations.
So yes we had two successful years in the 90ís but also the club ripped apart so let me tell you which I consider to be more successful and it has been the last 9 years under Mr SP.

He was rich before he got involved in Palace. So was Jordan, but he wasn't when he left, spunked £50m on his ego.
The difference is Parish listens to advice from people within the game.

This mythical CEO you speak of doesn't exist. How many owners/chairmen have done a better job than SP over the last 10 years in any of the English leagues?

SP is a drain piped trousered knob end who’s only interested in himself. He don’t give a 4x to loyal supporters, just look at the block E fan cockup. Purely for marketing his singing section, and the compo offered is crap along with crap seats. He did have an almost 100% fan acceptance, not anymore .
