Townsend's,Terrific Strike, was Cutting in from a wide Position.
We're Playing without an Out-&-Out Striker.
Midfielders Like Cheikhou Kouyate,James McArthur & Max Meyer are Pushing Forward.Though I agree a Striker is Needed.

No disagreements I think
I meant Townshend should not have to play up front but in the circumstances we have him and wilf as two fluidly positioned forwards and this is The best Roy can do until we bring in a forward or benteke and wickham are fit

On the upside it looks as if most centre backs would prefer a conventional striker playing down the middle rather than face two quick forwards coming at that from the slightly wider channels.

Let hope he faces a few more teams whose defenders simply drop off as he runs at them allowing him the space to take a shot. The WBA goal was very similar

He took both chances well but he wont get the space against better teams

Great goal but heís really not very productive output wise and not my type of winger. I donít really count WBA reserves.

Roy should drop him to sharpen his appetite to score. Maybe give Ayew a run on the wing which is his true position.

Sadly our 3 most potent attacking players aren't best suited to Roy's favoured system.

BBC creating some bandwagon about how he is in amazing form. He is not, just shows the press make their own agenda. The goal was outstanding but he has been poor this year.

Under Allardyce after Sammy Lee spoke to him was the best he has been.

If we do get a striker playing (Benteke) then Townsend is the best crosser we have to give him service.

Andros also scored a cracking goal at Chelsea who hardly have a bad defence.

It seems that nearly all of his goals are scored from outside the box and that is very difficult to defend against.

He has already scored 4 goals this season and with better luck he could have scored 8.

Not sure how they come to that conclusion at all.

Such an inconsistent player, but as you say, best form was under Allardyce.

Garth seems to have gone for a sort of attacking 3-1-3-3 formation - if you assume the selected players are put into something vaguely resembling positions they are accustomed to playing in. I feel sorry for Torreira as the sole conventional midfielder, he's gonna have a lot of covering to do in that team especially as donkey Duffy is in as one of the three defenders behind him.

As usual Garth's golden rule applies, score a goal and you're likely to get picked.

The fact he gets an assist for the first is ridiculous. He played a simple ball to a player out wide who then crosses the ball and it drifts in.

But yes he is in great form, a huge player, who wants him for £25m?

Pickford gets shortlisted despite being largely responsible for his side losing.

Some of his shooting and decision making on Saturday was diabolical.

Several times he tried to shoot when better options were available. I don't mind him having a pop, because he can clearly bang them in, but at times he doesn't seem to realise when the right time to shoot is.
