No mention of him in the press conference.

I obviously hope he's available but with Sakho out the last thing we should do is rush another centre back if we aren't certain. We mustn't unnecessarily risk another long term injury.

Dann is certainly capable enough to play alongside Tomkins for a few games if needed.

Relieved that we now have four decent centre backs
Next season we have to get a cover for left back as well

Must get some credit for stepping in, especially as he can't be 100%

In him and Dann we have excellent cover

in my opinion kelly and guiata were 50:50 to blame between them for the first cardiff goal

I've watched the re-run of the whole match and Kelly had a very good game apart from that mistake

shows that kelly has a very good mentality to come back from the mistake straight away

Tbh both he and Dann looked like glorified pub players on Saturday after a few decent games recently, it may have been that we played with 4 forwards and with less in midfield they were exposed a little more.

Complete rubbish, bar Kellys error for the goal they were both fine

He has been fine when called upon recently. The mix-up with Guiata was one of those things with probably a 50:50 blame. Fortunately it was not critical. Just move on. I'm sure they have now.

Good to have his chant back on Saturday and the added bonus of the ad libbed "he wants Brighton down" one. Entertained me anyway.

Kellys contract appears to expire at the end of June, I haven't seen anywhere that he has signed a new contract. It may be similar to McArthurs contract, which was extended without any fuss.
He is a great squad player, not the sort of player we should be letting go.

You just need to read this thread from post 783, or look at CPFC website to see that he has already signed new deal until 2021

Martin fully earned his contract extension with the way that he has performed when called upon to do so.

He is vital to Palace's squad and can play a number of defensive roles as can Joel Ward.

We are so lucky that illustrious Crystal Palace have defenders who can play defensive roles, not that the mighty Crystal Palace would sell any players as they are not a selling club. Martin Kelly likes strawberries, his favour colour is green and has a shiny car.

Thank you for your reply. I read somewhere his contract was up, obviously false news, that's the internet for you.

Thankfully he has a contract, from the posts after yours.

But spot on about keeping him - his character and attitude is what you need in squad players.
