Guiata did very well and is our GK of the future but you can't drop Wayne just yet. His form has been very good this year and to drop him after an injury may just disrupt team chemistry.

Nearly did a Speroni v Kevin Campbell dribble at the start but looked great after that.

I happen to think Hennessey has been very good for most of this season. However, his kicking has never been consistently good. Hence the comment.

We needed the toxic chemistry changed as we were losing games week in week out that we should have been getting points from. Long may it continue - let's not look back now for f***s sake.

We now have two decent keepers. Comforting it’s a position we don’t neeed to worry about. I’m easy about who plays. VGs distribution looks good and perhaps the list ‘progressive’ choice. He has the shirt after a clean sheet so perhaps should keep it? Bigger issues to deal with up front.

Hennessey is so shit that when he does the basics you'd expect from a League One keeper, bods who don't really know much about goalkeeping start saying he's good. Guaita is a class apart from him.

And as I said, or Napoleon... Or not, I'll take a lucky goalkeeper before a good one. Happy to give him a chance but Hennessey I hope will continue to fight. He's grown on me, got to respect a man that has been 'replaced' so many times now and continues to come up

I thought he was lucky to get away with the first half incident and if we had been the away side it might have been allowed
In the second half he nearly got caught again
This is the area it seems he must quickly realise is very different from Spain he won't get so much time on the ball to clear

Guaita was brought in to replace WH due to him underperforming last season, but WH has made that impossible by his hugely improved performances this season, but of late has left the door open. Today Guaita showed he does have ability to step in if called up and clearly showed that last season in La Liga, today there was a couple of nervous moments of uncertainty that could have been costly but that was to be expected in those conditions, but in that quick reaction moment in getting down superbly to Vardy's shot and other moments showed me he has what it takes, but will he replace WH when fit? i am not sure Roy will do so just yet.

It was a clear foul. Vardy doesn't get the ball if he doesn't foul him first.

I know a lot of you Hennessey fans were willing him to fail but he didn't and made a save Hennessey could only dream of. Get over it!!

I’d be incredibly surprised if he lost the shirt. He’s done nothing to lose it. It’s his to keep.

Like the look of Guiata. The Hen can play well at times, but always makes me nervous.

I would choose Guiata at this stage if I were the manager understanding the significance of picking up points.

I think this is fair. It was an encouraging debut, and it's nice to have to make a choice of which two apparently well performing keepers we play. The save from Vardy was top notch, but there was also a bad error in the first half. Can't help feeling that Guaita will get better with games though as he adjusts to the speed of the English game and will be less likely to get caught out again.

Tough choice for next week, although on balance I'd probably keep Guaita in. With the City game being one were not expected to get anything from, it's a good opportunity to give him another game to see if keeping him in longer term is the right move, while also giving Hennessey the chance to recover more from his injury. If the next game was Caridff though, I think I'd probably go the other way

Don’t see how I am? Career wise, he clearly has far more pedigree than Jules, Wayne, Király etc, and by implication, more talent. Overexcited would be ‘best keeper to play for Palace’ as opposed to ‘most talented.’

Its going to be a tricky one to call Jason as to who will be picked for the next game, as Roy is always loyal and reluctant for change.

I'm a Hennessey fan but delighted Guiata played well and want him to keep his spot.

It's the anti Hennessey brigade that can't see beyond their own personal hating agenda.

I still get the impression from Roy's post match comments he didn't want Guaita and literally just played him because he had to.

I love Roy but he can bloody be stubborn just for the sake of it sometimes.
