I always thought he was a wide man who would cut in
Yesterday showed he’s no focal point for attack.

He got 12 for Swansea last season but he looked terrible yesterday. He just seemed disinterested.

Am I the only one that was at least happy with his performance yesterday? We looked so much more on the front foot with him than with Benteke. He doesn't win headers (weakness) but he can hold up play and is always running around (Muzza-esque) and can play some nice balls off to Wilf. I was overall happy with his play yesterday. Once Solorth came in, he was anonymous.

I thought he was fine. He worked hard, but didn't really get much in the way of service.

I'd quite like to see him play on the left side of midfield against WBA, he can move the ball up the pitch well and can score from outside of the box. It would be the perfect opportunity to try him out.

I would be surprised if RH would risk playing both Ayew and Sorloth especially with Benteke injured

I know it's only been three games, but i'm struggling to remember what he's done so far. I still think he has a lot to offer, but I think he'll be best as sub running at tiring defenders.

Listening on the radio - sounds like he spent the game in Akes pocket.

Has no quality, neither quick, nor strong. Really not good enough and doesn't fit into our side at all.

Another non-scoring striker on our books. He's not even a handful for defenders to think about.

He's a winger playing up front. Only at palace. We don't sign decent strikers anymore.

He'd be ok playing out on the left.

There are a hell of a lot of very average footballers earning millions a year these days.

Surely he deserves some game time now? What's the point in loaning him if we just keep him in the reserves the whole time?

He's ******* awful... why play him?

Shuffle the pack and go back to what we played at the end of last year. Wilf and Townsend up top.

Ayew is a waste of space up front on his own. May as well stick Hennessy up there.

Almost feel bad for him, he wasn't the signing we needed, being asked to do a job that physically he is not cut out for. He's a poor man's replacement for wilf or Townsend but he is not, and will never be a holding center forward

He's clearly not the man to lead the line, he's more effective running from deep imo. I thought he'd be playing where RLC did or part of a front two.

We were playing as if he was a target man, which he definitely isn't.

Have to say at least Benteke chases down and gets stuck in, this guy don't do any of that.
