We now have quality options on the bench so RH can use them without weakening the team, for years i wanted to see us play in a set style like other teams and RH has done that with a good mix off solid defending good passing movement interchange of play, we are hard to beat and can beat anyone as City found out. If we lost RH it would be very hard to replace him.

Really hope so. If that does happen we'll be in for a good end to the season.

PVA takes that one Luka and McArthur were not good either Schlupp was not good then he had a very good 15 mins he seems to be a closet striker gets his shots of quick and on target scored the killer goal so imo he had a good game.

Some of our fans are morons...I'm not talking about criticism of managers decisions...I'm talking about "Schlupp is shit" type comments, then silence when Schlupp plays well and scores a goal... same posters will be spouting their bollocks the following week.
RH was tactically spot on yesterday. We played a team that were high on confidence, that steamrolled Br*ghton in the 2nd half, had 8 shots on target... and totally ran through the oppo's midfield. RH then picks a team to stop that happening...they didn't even have a shot on target. Doesn't stop posters saying... he should have started Meyer!
Why people want to pile on Schlupp is beyond me... I've seen fans do it with Jedi/Kelly... then go silent when they're proved wrong. Schlupp aint the best, but he is far from shit... gives 100%, doesn't complain when he is out the team and pops up with the odd goal.

We'll see over the next week or two as he's got so many options now and it will be interesting to see what he goes for. An attack of Benteke and Batshuayi, with Wilf and Townsend wide, is surely the way to go, especially for home games. I'd love to see him go for it in games against the more average teams we've got coming up.
Listen to his post match interview . Try & remember we’ve had no strikers most of the season so he’s taken the pragmatic approach. He basically says that if more points on board (and he’s right we’ve deserved more ) we’d of been seeing yesterday’s football a while back. I think IF we win next week you’ll start to see the Leicester game of last season football.

Looking back we have been fairly consistent in this regard after playing 25 matches:

2018/19 points 26 position 14th
2017/18 26 / 13
2016/17 19 / 19
2015/16 32 / 12
2014/15 27 / 13
2013/14 26 / 14

I would say, for me, this "same position" every season after 25 matches includes some seasons of underperformance, eg maybe this season, and some years of doing well, eg earlier seasons. Overall I might have hoped for a bit more improvement to date I suppose, but I am grateful we are still Prem. Means a lot to me
Some more stats related to the above. This is our league position after 25 games based on home games only. This could be based on 12 or 13 home games so not strictly comparable:

2018/19 18th
2017/18 11th
2016/17 20th
2015/16 17th
2014/15 17th
2013/14 10th

There is a pattern here

Still trying to get my head around our first season!

Schlupp, Kelly and Speroni are perfect squad players and, I would imagine, the envy of many a manager.

Great stats. Amazing that the only season we started well, 2015/16, ended up with our lowest final position. And that Pulis was the only manager who could get us winning regularly at home.

Spot on I have not thought much of Schlupp, never really impressed but he has slowly shown he is actually a good player. Yesterday was great I gave him my MoM and the goal was just the icing. At the moment I only have Ayew on my meh list but am concerned by PVA loss of form, his passing was great on idea by awful on implementation. Guaita is simply exactly what we have needed. So steady. Has really helped my blood pressure.

2015/16 was our lowest overall finishing position in 15th spot.

You are correct that 2013/14 season with Pulis was our best home record of 11th spot.
