Jordan Ayew v Wolves. Can't think of another. Maybe one of Schlupp's?

'At home'.

Indeed.

Perhaps there'll be a Palace TV video at the end of reason revealing the worse misses of the season. Macca and Wilf are bound to be in the top 10.

We should have been out of sight yesterday if it wasn’t for Wilf being selfish and his poor finishing.

Macca, Wilf, Sakho, Ward, Sorloth, Luka, Koyoute, Tomkins, PVA, Andros have all missed sitters, or at least chances youíd expect any PL player to score.

Itís a problem since Royís been manager - missing simple chances. Not just Wilf - everyone.

Event he commentator said it yesterday - if we had a half decent striker we'd be top half
I donít think itís the striker issue. Itís an all round across the board finishing issue.

Nobody is being clinical. Wilf thrashed at his shots yesterday - no precision.
Our players all seem to go for power rather than accuracy - nobody passes it into the net. So even when weíve been one on one (Wilf yesterday or Sorloth v Spurs) our players have blasted it at the keeper rather than pass it past him.

Yesterday was embarrassing, like we were trying not to score. WTF is wrong with us? Suddenly Zaha has zero end product again, heís having such a poor season relative to my expectations for him. Townsend was awful yesterday, none of the great stuff weíve seen from him recently. Ayew tried hard to link the attack and midfield but we have NO STRIKER FFS.

Itís gone beyond luck now.

For us to routinely miss every single easy or presentable chance at home over half a season is not luck - itís skill or confidence - both of which can be coached.

Palace had 6 shots on target. Foster showed why he's still rated as a Premier League keeper. Hardly a case of not needing a keeper but hey, let's not facts get in the way of a story.

Foster is a good keeper, but we didnít really test him. With Lukaís shot the exception we didnít test him, even in one on ones. .

Finally felt brave enough to watch the highlights - first time I watched them since being at the game.
Foster did play well but Wilf's effort at the start of the second half was awful and Jimmy's was a really bad miss too. Particularly at home, it is a habit.

Worst G-xG in the league. Meyer and Benteke the largest contributors. The existing gap is bigger than any other club bar palace managed in the whole of 2017/18.

At one stage last season Palace had an xG of 13 and had scored 4. From that point onwards the xG to G remained pretty constant (scored roughly what you expect to score).

Broadly a chunk of this is talent, no question, but a chunk of it is luck / random variation too.

Have to disagree here - I thought Foster made a more than a few good saves and was instrumental in Watford getting the points
