Nonsense.

Wilf is often snuffed out and becomes ineffectual - he can be fouled out of the game too.

AWB has shown how to be effective in defence but pushing forward too.

Neither, but obviously the player who has been keeping us in the Premier league for years would be the one to keep.

AWB would have to be the player let go first as a right back is easier and cheaper to replace. Zaha is a match winner and is irreplaceable to Palace.

Go and find an AWB replacement on the cheap.

It's bollocks to think we'd get anyone like him.

We wouldn't be able to get a young player of his level most likely, but he is undoubtedly more replaceable than Zaha

Bullshit.

Teams can focus their attacks on the opposite flank... AWB will be nullified, his attacking prowess isnít his best attribute.

Wilf creates havoc... teams double up on him, creates space. He wins free kicks/pens. He is a ball carrier.

Neither we have something special here we need a striker to click
And we could win something , we have shown it in patches how good we can be

Lots of people are saying that this summer could be the summer that we have to have a restructure and possibly our two biggest valued players could be the one/s that have to move on to fund the restructure.

If we had to lose one, which one would you prefer to move on first and why?

Pros and negatives with both.

Wilf - Unbelievable player on his day and possibly very few better in the PL when he's on form. He's 26 now so getting to his prime. However, he has been extremely inconsistent this year, but that could be the various positions he's played in to juggle our lack of forward options. I think he would command more money but of course, we would have to hand over a wedge over to MUFC. Would hate to see 'our talisman' go personally.

AWB - My God, what a player. He's come in like he's a near on 30 year old playing in this league for over a decade. Potentially the best full back we have had, certainly in my 30 years of supporting and going to Palace. Full England call is surely just round the corner and will be a regular for many years to come if he continues as he's doing. Very few have had the better of him. I could definitely see him playing for one of the 'big boys', not that I'd want him to go there. Probably wouldn't command as much as Wilf as he's still very raw at this level but then he's 5 years younger than Wilf with probably a decade of football ahead of him at the top level.
Very difficult question.

Wilf makes us 'tick' more than AWB and dynamic, game-changing players of his kind are the hardest to find. Losing him, in isolation, would be harder to brook than losing AWB. Not quite the same-sized hole as Wright leaving but close.

That said, there is another, more mercantile consideration. I think Wilf has peaked. Sorry, but that's what I think. His value will unlikely never be higher than right now, at least for us. Should he go to a big team, play with better players and get infinitely higher protection from refs, Wilf will seemingly go up another level because of third party circumstances. But, short of us bringing in the highest quality striker and AM this summer to compliment Wilf, I feel his potential to shine has reached its peak with CPFC and he will therefore never bring us a bigger return than now.

AWB, scarily, will still improve with us. I can't remember a single winger who AWB hasn't basically gotten the measure of over the course of a game. It's a joke how he owns top level wingers. I wrote within his first weeks of playing for us that AWB would be taken by a top club by the end of this current season and still believe that, especially as we defend more than attack so AWB is being well advertised to the world.

If AWB does stay with us ( I don't see it ) then his value will only go up further next season. If we sell AWB now, it would be well under what he will be worth one day, while I believe Wilf will never be worth more to us than at this moment. But he would be harder to replace, IMHO, since his type of player is harder to find and tend to cost more. If Wilf was as accomplished as he is and Aaron's age, he would be worth more as a player but, as things are, AWB's ultimate value is higher.

I want both to stay but, if we had to sell one, I'd very reluctantly plump for Wilf. ( My priority is money on this question ) That is, unless someone offered £70M for AWB, which sounds ridiculous but I think is ultimately the minimum he will be worth one day.

I think Wilf's performances this year have been so sub-par that he may not have the level of suitors required to prise him away, at least not at the price to buy out the contract in a manner that would satisfy us as a club. My fear is someone comes in for AWB at £40M and we take it, then watch as he doubles in value for someone else while still under 25 years of age.
