Seems entirely fair to me.

Looking at different routes, you can either go M1 or M40 / M6.

What would people reccomend as they are similar times?

I always use M40/M6 toll when heading up that direction. There is a 20 mile section of road works on the M1 at the moment as well, between Milton Keynes and Northampton and its a real pain in the arse. You're lucky to achieve the 50mph speed limit!!

M40 is a quicker route, but I guess it depends where your starting point is. From Croydon, I would definitely go M25/M40 (or through London to the M40 if you’re setting off really early).

Any tips for the train?
Burnley Oxford road is the best one according to the away fans guide, but it’s a bit of a stroll from manc pic to manc vic station to get the train there.

Any tips appreciated

First tip is it's Manchester Road.

But Burnley Central isn't much further - 20 mins walk from memory. But Manchester Rd has fast trains to it. cenrtal has lots of very slow local services.

You'll need to check train times, but there's fast trains from Manc Piccadilly to Victoria.

Trains have only ran that for the last year or so. You could also get a tram which takes about ten minutes.

There is also a free hopper bus service.

Walk is about 15 mins and simply follow tram tracks.

10.12 from Bradford Interchange, into Burnley 11.02. Spoons for about 11.15, then on to Bridge Bier Huis not long after it opens.

Shame it doesn't look like we'll be able to have a snowball fight on the train platform after the game again!

Another top tip - Burnley's steak and pepper pie is bloody good, and refreshingly cheap.
