It’s good to see that we’ve manage to train that troublesome goal scoring trait out of Michy’s game in such a short space of time!

We did look a different team after the subs, I love when we are more attacking and we do have the defence and pace to allow us to play that way. Meyer had a good impact and linked up well with Wilf. Thought ref was complete pants

I really don’t know what some of you expect. It’s unreal reading sometimes. West Ham were good in the first half but we went toe to toe - they just outplayed Liverpool ffs. We battered them second half. Entertaining stuff but it’s just moan moan moan.

Same people that pine for the championship.

Unbelievable isn't it?

A bloke walking down Park Road after the game was furiously ranting.
He said "if we lose to Brighton then the stupid old cnnt has to go...."
What is wrong with people?!

Not often I take much notice of statistics , but it was interesting that Benteke had 21 touches ( way less than any other Palace player ) , 14 passes ( 50% accurate ) 2 shots ( 1 on target ) 0 tackles 0 fouls won 0 fouls conceded.
He is obviously not as good as Batshuayi with regards to movement , pace and skill but he is 6ft 4 and has a powerful physique - just wish he would put himself about more , he is like a gentle giant . Just not how I remember him at Villa .

Guaita's uselessness cost us the game. He's been lucky up until now getting away with the silly errors, but that was shocking keeping by him for the penalty.

Luka was also awful, probably worst game he's had for us, lucky to stay in the pitch really. Did find it very amusing just after Meyer came on and we won a corner, Wilf looked round expecting Meyer to take it, only to see Luka and clearly mouth "for f***s sake" knowing another atrocious waste of a corner was coming.

Kelly, Schlupp, Wilf, Meyer best/ most effective players today.

Ref poor, but red trim linesman was abysmal.

The only thing world class about Antonio was his ridiculous dive in the second half.

A bit frustrating that we did not pick up 3 points, but enjoyed how we absolutely ran them ragged in the 2nd half.

Although not MoM for me, best performance by Schlupp in the red n blue.

Very happy with a point as we could have been 2 or three down at half time but their finishing was on a par with ours, Ref was pathetic. Cannot complain about the pen but Schlupp won the ball cleanly for the free kick given just before the pen and the ref allowed us to pass it around until blowing up, very odd.

And he's got the cheek to spend a minute doing that ridiculous prayer on the centre circle before kick off.

Gave my MoM to Schlupp, thought he was excellent today, however if Meyer had played the whole game as hed did his cameo no-one would have got near him for MopM, thought he was superb in the time he was on.

Meyer has to start against Leicester. If Macca does instead then I've officially given up on Roy, and Max should give up on the club this summer for his own sake.

All of the above, and plenty more, is completely genuine. I get football fans like a moan, and going to football can be a release, but this guy is something else. I can't see what he gets out of going to Palace to be honest.
You don't sit at the back of the Holmes dale directly behind the goal do you?

Surprised at the criticism for McArthur.

I thought his work in midfield was good today. Maybe ugly, but also necessary. He works so hard off the ball: ground covered, niggly tackles, cutting angles off, getting a foot in, constant running. Easy to overlook what he adds. And he got the assist.

Meyer dovetailed brilliantly while benefiting from the game opening up. I'm not sure he can do the same job in the middle as McArthur or Kouyate. Still, it's ridiculous having a player of Max's quality on the bench.

A possible solution could be:

Guaita
AWB - Tomkins - Sakho - PVA
Townsend - Luka - XXX - Zaha
Meyer
Batshuayi

XXX can be McArthur, Schlupp or Kouyate. Take your pick. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Personally I'd go for McArthur.

Rice is outstanding, keeps playing well and developing and he should be starting for England (if he picks us) at the Euros, as we have no other quality CDMs. Fabianski is statistically the best keeper in the league, although keeper stats must always be taken with a pinch of salt.

How does this official process work - is there a certificate? A ceremony? Perhaps you blow a conch?
