e-tickets

long time reader first time caller(pretty much.)

Does anyone know how many e-tickets we are allowed on a season ticket?

I can't make quite a few games next season and I'd rather give to palace mates or sell on here than use twickets.

Thanks

I asked the boxoffice that once and they said I couldn't do it. Would have to give the friend the card or use twickets.

I guess its to try to make things harder for touts.

AFAIAA the only way you can get paper tickets on an ST is to go to the box office on match day and say you have forgotten your card. Once you show ID they will then print you a paper one - although I think there may even be a charge for this? Not only that it may look a bit suspect if you do it regularly throughout the season.

Id call them up, as somebody sold me a game from their season ticket for a game this season, got the box office to send an e-ticket and emailed it over to me.

Seems it may be a grey area which is why they're not getting back to me.

I've asked the box office a few times this season if they'd send me an e-ticket and they have done. BUT I guess the official rule is that tickets aren't transferable (unless you use twickets and the club make money from it.)

Atleast youíll get some money back through twickets

However unless itís a high demand/sell out match the ticket wonít sell on there anyway.

This is true! I guess it's better than other clubs have it. Still rather have a season ticket than not even though I'm guaranteed to miss games due to work.

I have converted my season ticket into an e-ticket a few times this season when I couldn't make the match and it's never been an issue. Just email the box office and they do it inside 24 hours.

Can you use the image on your phone to scan/gain entry, rather than destroying the planet by printing out an e-ticket?

My guess would be 'in theory, yes, but would you trust the technology at Palace?'

In case anyone is struggling to sleep & concerned about my earlier query, the answer is yes. You can scan yourself in with a phone. I felt like James Bond or something. It was the highlight of the game (bar Guaita's save).
