We may have been in the German suburbs . We got a train to Freiberg in Germany as well to take in a game . Not far from Basel and beer and food cheap. So may be an option for some .

Very pleased with this as my cousin lives over there and is a big BSC supporter - will post up decent pre match spots when he sends them accros.

He said that their ultras are quite 'active' lately though and are looking forward to the Palace coming over

It says on the official Palace site that tickets are approx. 10CHF.
For the Saturday game on the ticket site I am seeing prices of 20.80 adults and 10.60 kids in the away bit

I've heard their planning is top notch, the group runs like clock work.

I'll get me lederhosen.

To be fair, it says 'from' which is typically the lowest price.

But yeah, it could be a little bit clearer.

Ah yes, well spotted. Palace used to do that when advertising memberships (only mention the child price)

Time for a fondu and a biere pre-match. Ask Credit Suisse for the mortgage loan you'll need to eat out in Switzerland!
have a fondue in the summer if you want to be laughed at.

Looking at train 7 hours £530 for the three of us first class (cheaper than standard)

Is everything stupidly expensive as I have not been to CH for 20 years

Swiss road tax (vignette) is only needed to drive on their motorways. It should be possible to reach Biel and Berne on national roads from France if you want to avoid these costs.

French autoroute tolls to Basel would probably cost €60 each way, so not insignificant.
