Wagner is a coward.

The captain should go down with his ship. This wimp ran at the first sign of trouble and left everyone else to face the music. Sean Dyche on the other hand went down with Burnley and took them back up.

Roy in!

Yes totally different ball game ovethere he’s suited to that.

If people want crave this style of football. It can’t just happen overnight in premier league with a new manager. Klopp or Pep couldn’t do what they did here. Also we haven’t got 200 million spend change players like they did. We as a club have a firm way dna of playing which is also built into 90 per cent squad.

For me the way to do it would be start in the academy(big investment needed though here) and build up. These players then as they get older move into first team.
Also you need big pitch think we have smallest in league. This doesn’t help when you try and play expansive football.

I love our style a counter attack goal is much better than a Barca/arsenal 20 pass move for me. For next 5 years we’re fine. But agree eventually we will need to start to adapt. Our problem last 2 years very simple. You pay 35 million and 139k a week for a striker who scores 1 goal all season. If he doesn’t go in summer problems could get worse he’s had TOO many chances. And before anyone says anything my 4 year old could scored that header against Arsenal.

He's appreciated to the tune of £2 million a year. He does alright.

Roy has done his job but with small adjustments it could have been much better. The inability to change tactics during games, the finishing, the final ball, the football IQ of certain players, the lack of substitutions and mistaken team selection can all be improved upon without much ado.

Maybe we should invest more in specialty coaches and a psychologist to help him out?

How’s the finishing his fault it’s down to the players and they’ve proved to be more than capable away from home and in training. Over half the season without a bloody forward too. We’ve created plenty of chances at times and plenty of final balls gone in but no one has read it/gambled . Not a bad idea last paragraph but would Roy be open to that now?. You say about much better and I agree but more from the angle of fine margins . Early reds vs Watford away could’ve imo sent our season in a different direction and red vs weed would’ve changed course of the game . There wasn’t much between us and Watford in all 3 games imo.

We’re better than Schalke. They’ve been in more of a relegation battle than us this season, and in a significantly weaker league.

I really don't know why we are wasting our time discussing this. Steve Parish is not going to sack Roy before next season however anyone might want him to.

Given that, why not just get behind him?

What needs to happen more than anything (and sooner rather than later) is for the future of Wilf and, to a lesser extent, AWB to be decided. If they are sold near or at the end of the window then we are likely to start next season with a poor squad as we will not have time to buy suitable replacements. Sadly, avoiding that situation is not entirely in our hands.

Do we pay for "entertainment"? Because I don't remember the Taylor/Francis years being entertaining. Much of Dougie's time, save the few games before he jumped ship, was absolute dross. As entertaining as Smith/Dowie's promotion seasons were I can't say I was very entertained the seasons that followed.

Schalke totally destroyed us in the 45 mins they actually bothered to play - admittedly FdBs bizarre tactics didn't help
