30 MAXIMUM

I see that the Premier League Clubs have agreed to continue the maximum 30 adult ticket price for away supporters for a further 3 years

Great news. Though you notice a few clubs have upped their kids prices, not all mind.

Next campaign should be to make that the maximum for ALL fans, home and away.

Couldn't agree more and there should also be a cap on season tickets.
You only have to look abroad to see that we are getting fleeced in this country. Huddersfield have led the way on affordable season tickets, others should follow suit.

The "richest league in the world" but how much of that filters down to pay back the supporters who are the heart and soul of the game??

Out of interest what do the people who think all Premiership Clubs should charge 20 a match, 250 a season ticket think that the League One, League 2 who don't get 100million of TV money a year and rely primarily on ticket revenue to survive should charge?

Some disabled tickets were actually cheaper before the 30 price cap for away fans was introduced as many were under 20.

This surely is bad practice by clubs now charging more for disabled away tickets than before the 30 limit was introduced.

This is an issue. But while admission money may be their lifeline, that's not an argument to punish us. Lower league clubs may need to be looking at their pricing. Some down to non league level are ridiculous and when you get to the likes of Leeds, they would have to slash their away fans prices if they went up. In any case, would say a Crawley fan stop going because it was only 360 for a ST at Palace or Brighton? I don't know.

There is a general issue where some clubs have too many STs (a fine balance I know) which leaves little room for either existing fans who go only occasionally and that grouping who might be fans in future. If the shortage of tickets at many places is made worse by high cost individual match day tickets, where do brand new fans come from? Add to that, membership requirements at some clubs before you can even get that ticket.

The argument is that clubs sell out mostly and therefore the pricing must be right. I don't buy that and it's kind of short term thinking, particularly for clubs who may move between leagues.

Its not an easy solution, because it is ultimately bound up with the playing side costs - and clubs are castigated if they don't compete and to complete they need to pay the salaries at the going rate.

All I know is that the costs are wrong. Wrong because of the vast sums coming into the game. Wrong because of the vast sums going out of the game to players and their ****ign agents.

Then you open up the debate on the bigger stadiums from the 'bigger' clubs that have been relegated through the years. They need to cover the costs of maintaining those larger stadiums.
