Purple/black means that your reputation hasn't been affected by the action - this is where the person attempting to give you Rep does not have sufficient Rep power him/herself to affect your total reputation.
For example, on 24/25 July you received Reps from MrKAF and NathanCPFCD neither of whom had any Rep Power at the time it was given - so neither rating affected your Rep score.
And just to further the example, I have currently negged James. If enough people do this, he will move from green to red.
You do now - your Reputation Power is 34 (which means that you give 34 points when you positively rep someone and -17 when you give negative Rep) - but you didn't when you Repped Popeye'89 in July. You get 1 point of Reputation altering power for every 100 points of your own reputation.
Yes we can - but we really cannot see PMs Barbara, I promise!

I doubt that whoever did it will own up and apologise to the club but he will probably receive a football banning order when identified on the CCTV. As John Cooper Clarke famously said, nobody has got a good word for you but I have. Twat.

Unless you reset someones password, or interrogate the MySQL database directly, or packet sniff the server, or Dave installs a VBulletin patch to enable it, or restores a backup copy elsewhere and interrogates that, or you obtain the password using the mod panel option to search by password, or... etc. etc. etc.
At least one mod is on record for using at least one of the above methods to read PMs in the past...
Kiddies don't let them fool you - your PM's are not a secret, safe or secure medium, never put anything private, secret or confidential in your PM's.
And don't forget that your REP given and received can be, and is read by the mods very easily.
Now go and enjoy the brilliant BBS with your eyes open.
