I mean Argentina didnít have a very radical government.

Now as it happens a corbyn government wonít be very radical so this is all a bit by the by.

But I donít think you can conceive of anything beyond capitalism. Thatís your choice and we will have to agree to disagree. But there is not doubt in my mind that firstly a radical government, while facing difficulties, would still be able to access borrowing even if it broke treaties and refused to pay fines. But secondly such an event tends to be part of a larger picture and domino effects, so there may well be a federation in such a scenario.

I have two observations on this:

1. I'd like to see the Jewish Chronicle have the bottle to also condemn Benjamin Netanyahu in a front page spread about his hobnobbing with anti-semite Hungarian leader Victor Orban and condemn Mr Racist 'Picanniny' aka Boris J as someone no one should vote for.

2. Increasing anti semitic tendencies within a minority in the party (and lack of effective action by the leadership cadre) is an issue. But those candidates battling it in the Jewish Labour Movement for example and elsewhere (ie Rosie Duffield) deserve full support in the election not suggestions a la Ian Austin to vote for charlatan Tory racist enablers instead...

Yes agree. The more I ponder the Jewish Chronicle piece the more I resent its generalisations. I'm also ashamed of Ian Austin. - another alumni of mine from Essex University - more likable than Bercow at the time for sure but now much less useful!

There's accessing borrowing and there's accessing borrowing at (borderline) excessive interest rates. Which do think a government, radical or otherwise, that ripped up treaties and refused to pay debts would be able to do? I'm sure this had to be explained to the Brexit crew when they said we could just leave and pay nothing.

Shameful.
At least you got the right thread instead of your deflection on the BJ thread. Funny that youíve had nothing directly to say about all the bigotry in the Tory party and BJs views.

I can't understand why someone who argued for the legalisation of beastiality porn should be considered to have a sensible opinion when it comes to endorsing Johnson.

It's not funny, none of it is.

I've said both parties are unelectable based on the morals they have. BJ should be nowhere near the political scene let alone the prime minister.

Because this is how far they have to stoop to keep pushing the narrative. It's desperate stuff but it works.

Fair play because he's obvs one of the 5% richest people in this country and no doubts will be stung by Labour. If he isn't then he's a mug, fool and his money etc.

Trump wants to break and ignore progressive things on progressive issues. Some treaties and some fines are reactionary. What was put upon Greece is an example.

you certainly din't make that clear with
" Nothing stopping them from refusing to pay fines and refuse to go along with international treaties" labeling treaties as progressive or reactionary doesn't really assist at all.
