Reading the threads this evening it appears we have a team of players who don’t give a shit. A Manager who hasn’t got a clue, and a Chairman who couldn’t run a book reading class at Croydon Library.

Wow. Just as well we didn’t lose by 2.

Pretty much spot on to what we have at the moment, unless you are watching something different and live in a world where we had a different transfer window? In your head are we lining up with Sarr and Chalov? Or do we have Benteke running round like a useless ****!

Much too early. There is no indication how good the other teams are or indeed how good we are. Come back in October and take a deep breath now.

As I have said elsewhere, it is better to have appalling performances near the beginning of the season, when there is still time to react. I continue to have faith in RH. It is up to him to do his best to get a reaction.

Never to early. In fact, the thread should have been well underway at 6pm on transfer deadline day. I think we really are in serious trouble this year. I'm just waiting a tad for better odds before I lump on.

I thought this very interesting and from a very reputable site.

538 predict the most likely end of season table position for Palace as 9th, and they calculate only an 11% chance of relegation. Numbers like that and the other stats about league position from last Feb are making me feel uncomfortably optimistic.

Roy Hodgson has a trusted formula that works to keep teams in the Premier League and that to Palace is exactly what he is paid to do.

After 7 consecutive years as a Premier League club Palace are not going to be one of the fancied teams to go down as there are many teams far worse than us as the current table emphatically illustrates with Palace sitting in 4th place with 7 points from our first 4 games.

Not yet - we would have had to have had a much worse start - I mean beating United and Villa - what were we thinking - 4th after 4 games - completely unreasonable if you want the thread. Yesterdays result - losing away to a top six side doesn't really cut it - they will have to do worse than that and even then there is really no point until we are 12 games in. Who knows - a couple of wins and it might even be a making Europe calculator - I can still dream.

Quite right, the result yesterday was mostly expected so no real surprise. But we need to start believing in ourselves more i.e the Sheff Utd game is one we should have approached in a more positive way knowing with our away form that should have been a win we should be aiming for.
And yesterday we approached the game as a team in 4th position ok rather unexpectedly, but surely our belief and confidence should have high and the performance should have reflected that, i just hope lessons were learnt and we now move forward.
I also dont believe we will go down certainly not whilst we have RH in charge, but he needs to be backed in January without question other than simply trying to ensure we dont go down but also in allowing Roy to build a solid foundation so as we continue as a premiership club for the next manager should he hang up his hat in the summer.

With the squad we got after the window 7 points would be as good as you could have realisticly expected at this stage thought we could beat sheff u but would have lost to man u others were ok results .worrying thing don't seem to be 3 or 4 terrible team this season Norwich and villa look competitive at this level so far .

When there have been enough games to reasonably put together a projection. Could we have a potential Europe calculator run concurrently with a Relegation avoidance calculator?

I assume people are asking for a European calculator ironically.
