AWB vs TAA

AWB is set to be fast tracked into the England squad. We all know he's not going to play because a certain Alexander-Arnold plays for Liverpool.

Without bias. Who is better?

Defensively awb is superb and better than TAA, but going forward TAA is very good to be fair. Takes good set pieces too

Prefer it if he doesn't play for England TBH as it just makes him an even bigger target.

Nevertheless I'd like to see him succeed at international level so maybe we'll just have to lose him at some point.

Alternatively we could make him an offer he can't refuse.

Where's that bloody chequebook again?

Why won’t he play? Southgate likes to mix things up in friendlys. He’ll start one of the games.

That was quick. Yep

Interestingly got trippier and walker to add to that

Very very well stocked at rb.

Southgate prefers 3 at the back too so AWB might have to adapt to right of a central 3 or wingback to play. With the lack of good Center backs at the moment I can see 2 of the 4 getting involved

Going forward AWB should really work on crossing a dribbling if he wants to nail a place down

Hes very good at dribbling, just decides not to do it all that often. He sells so many defenders with his drop of a shoulder. I agree that he should definitely work on his crossing though. Probably not priority number one given weve spent most of the season with Ayew, Zaha and Townsend up top.

I don't think there are ANY England friendlies in 2019 - the two games in March are Euro 2020 qualifiers.

If you play a senior competitive international, that's it, you're committed to that Nation.

I believe when Zaha changed his mind he had only played 2 friendlies for England

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he gets a cap. The way some sections of the media talk about AWB there is an assumption he will be moving on soon which is depressing

AWB vs TAA

It does make sense. From a selfish point of view I hope he opts for DR Congo.

AWB is definitely better defensively than TAA. Both are fantastic players. Southgate has a headache here Im afraid. Plus theres Trippier and Walker. Oh dear.

I would argue that he is now our most valuable asset, yes i think hes worth more than Wilf. Its about the whole package and this kid has it in abundance.

A fantastic defender with a great temperament. Nothing fazes this kid whatsoever its like hes been playing in the Premier League for years. Currently is top of the tackles won in the league as well.

Enjoy while we have him.

Watching AWB swoop in and sweep the ball aay from players is like watching Maldini in his prime.

AWB>TAA.

Trippier and TAA are better suited to the wing back role. Last couple of games Southgate has switched to a regular back 4. In that role, AWB is the better option .

At least an England cap will raise his price if we do need to let him go and/ or it may make him think staying here isn't too bad if he can still get capped while at Palace.
