So you would agree that it is quite astonishing that, considering the whole point of this is to save clubs from extinction, Paul Barber didn't mention any club in League 1 or League 2 or any club going out of business at all during that interview with BBC, right?

Maybe he was too concerned about 'if we go down the route of a Play-Off [for relegation from the Premier League], I hope the cut-off is 16th, not 15th'.

Self-interest, self-interest, self-interest.

Good luck with that . I used to engage with it but in reality you’re just playing into it’s hands. How anyone can carry on with the mind numbing trolling day after day is baffling and I just can’t be arsed with it anymore.

Cheers, thereichstuff.

Happy to carry on allowing the buffoon to continue making himself/herself look ridiculous. Imagine how much fun it'll be when games start again & they slip further towards the inevitable relegation.......

Wonder what Comical Ali from Hove will have to say then.....

It will take a miracle for Brighton to have a win-win again this season as so far this year they have not even had a single Premier League win and that wait gets longer as each day passes.

Palace have no such problems and cannot wait to carry on where they left off and see where that can take us.

No pressure

Why would he talk about teams in League 1 and 2? He was answering a question about Leeds and West Brom getting promoted if the season didn't finish. and no questions came up about the lower leagues.

Yes it is self interest no one has denied that for one second, not even Steve Parish. He was saying the 15th place cut of for play-offs in a jokey way. Did you ignore them all laughing.

If the season finishes today I haven't seen anything that says Brighton would be relegated. There has never been an idea put forward of the bottom 6 having a play-off.

The ideal scenario would be they restart the PL, Brighton continue their winless form and drop into the bottom 3, the PL gets suspended again, and Brighton get relegated !

Well, you stated yesterday that the rationale for no relegation was out of concern for 'the lower leagues' & to prevent 'clubs going over the edge'.

Now that you've clarified that Barber is only acting in self-interest, one must assume that yesterday's 'lower leagues' musings were, for once, your own rather than the usual fumbling misquotes from the little blue book of 'Quotations from (deputy) Chairman Barber'

Which puts you on dangerous ground because a) You've proved time & time again how stupid you are & b) let's not forget your remit

These confident Brighton fans are still not prepared to reply to my post on how many points are they expecting Brighton to get from their remaining 9 games wherever these games are played.
