I agree about the direction but if thats true I doubt we would be in the Premier league still if it was that many but a great objective. Caveat - Tbh if they keep increasing the number of subs and the number you can use in a game they might pad the bench out with them but no intention of playing.

Ryan Inniss being rested for the game against Plymouth

And

I'd expect Ryan Inniss to return in defence at the very least, having been injured for so long it would be sensible to rest him for the midweek games

Maybe Roy could learn from that philosophy?

Luckily our CB's are injured so often they miss weekend and midweek games...

Do you really think its Roy or perhaps the physios or the player who need to learn from that philosophy? I'd imagine Roy is the last person to rush a player back!
