the best ties are the gills/bromley, newport/swansea and havant/millwall matches. i'll be bolloxed if i'm tuning in to watch that monday night macclesfield non-sense.

oh, and i'll be down at the tooting match on saturday for a little dose of reality!
The games chosen are reasonable selections, if Macclesfield had been drawn away then they wouldn`t have been picked. However at home against a top of the table side,a new well known manager & the fact they haven`t won yet, so have to sometime.

As I suspected, Williams seems to be just using Bromley to keep fit while trying to get a contract somewhere.

Not that there is anything wrong with that really. Seemed to be working for both parties.

Bromley's website is down. Who are they playing today and are they at home?

If so, might pop down.

Thanks

If only that were to happen!

If anyone is interested Gillingham tickets are on sale at the club tomorrow. Rumour has it we've sold 800 so far.

"The Club will also be open on Sunday (2pm to 4pm for tickets) as will the Bar (Sky Sports Live) and Club Shop (until 6pm) with replica shirts on sale (at last!).

Coach seats can also be booked at the same time as purchasing match tickets. The fare is £10 return.

The Club is now able to accept credit cards"

The website appears to be working now

OUR pub for Saturday at Gillingham - The Livingstone Arms

From the BFCPS

GILLINGHAM -v- BROMLEY FC - Sat 11/11
WHERE SHOULD YOU GO FOR A COLD BEER & "COMPLIMENTARY" BAR FOOD WHEN VISITING GILLINGHAM ON SATURDAY?

Well let me invite you to the LIVINGSTONE ARMS.

We are known as the "away supporters" pub even though we do welcome and have a few home fans in. We are 100 yards away from Gillingham Football Ground, 5mins or so from the train station, 10ins away from where the coaches park up.

We are well known for our warm welcome, brilliant atmosphere, friendly staff and of course "complimentary" bar food which consists of hot roast potatoes, sausages and not forgetting the onion rings!! So if you would like a cold beer or two and eat for free then why not visit us on Saturday. (Unfortunately you do have to pay for the cold beer though)!!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this message and hope to see you on Saturday.

Michelle
(Landlady)

COMPLIMENTARY FOOD?! I think ive found my new local.

1-1 today. Good result for T&M who'll feel that they should have won based on the second half performance, even before Bromley went down to 10 men for the harshest red card you'll ever see in football.

Good man with all 22 players working their socks off for the shirt. For £8, 60p for cuppa and £1.50 for a programme, it's such a change from watching the couldn't-give-a-shits in the Palace team.

For Bromley, Peter Adeniyi and Kirk Watts stood out first-half and Town seemed to fade away when those two guys did in the second 45.

And Goldberg looks like he's trying to be Ray Wilkins!

I agree mate, the last few years I look forward to Bromley games more than Palace, even when Bromley were crap!!!

I've always liked Kirk Watts,a few years ago when Bromley were struggling In his first spell at the club he was always by far their best player!!!

Just got back, Bromley changed formation and players for this match as I suspected they would. They did this before the Grays Cup match as they thought they would be watched and it worked then.

Pretty poor match I felt, and amoung the Bromley fans there was more talk about Gillingham on Saturday than the match itself. Peter Ade' played well as ever, and we would have won the match had we played our usual 3-5-2.

A 1-1 draw and a sending off isn't ideal as the fixture list is busy already.

ahh well roll on the replay (another opportunity to flog some more tickets) and that small match next weekend.

From Bromley FC results Blog.

Tooting & Mitcham Utd 1 Bromley 1 – FA Trophy 2nd Qual Rd - 28/10/06

Bromley came back from Mitcham with the worst result possible ahead of their FA Cup game next Saturday a draw meaning they will now face a tough replay match on the Wednesday night leading up to Gillingham.

With seven former Bromley players in the Tooting squad and former managers George Wakeling, Billy Smith & Frank Coles in charge the home side were very fired up for this one, while Bromley’s players looked like they had their minds on next week, less than enthusiastic for the battle and very cautious in the tackle.

The game got off to an even start in a subdued atmosphere until Tooting spiced things up with some heavy late challenges. Lloyd Blackman went close for Bromley while Paul Vines cashed in on a Jerome Sobers mistake only to be denied by Andy Walker at the other end. Bromley took a while to settle into their unfamiliar 4-4-2 formation but did eventually get going. Francis Duku twice headed over from corners, Joe Vines cleared a Barry Moore free kick off the line, and Nic McDonnell also headed over.

Tooting then had a spell on top, but Bromley held out and Simon Osborn went close before McDonnell put The Ravens in front on 40mins when he held off Danny Carroll to shoot home from 12yards. The lead lasted barely a minute though with former Bromley centre back Joe Vines ghosting in unmarked and heading home from a set piece. Just before half time Terrors Matt York shot just wide from a free kick but the sides went in at the break all square.

The second half saw Bromley start brightly, Peter Adeniyi was hacked down by Allan McLeod and from the free kick Moore had a shot saved. The Ravens had a corner scrambled away from the line while McDonnell & Blackman were denied by home Keeper Dave King. Walker made a great save from Carl Gibbs as Tooting rallied and Gibbs had another effort blocked soon after, Moore had a couple of shots saved and Adeniyi was also denied by King as the game flowed from end to end.

Paul Vines had an effort cleared off the line, Danny Carroll shot over and Sobers headed away another deep cross from under the bar as The Terrors looked to grab a winner. Bromley were reduced to ten men when Lee Field wick was sent off for a second yellow card, but bizarrely this seemed to spark them into late action. Adeniyi & sub Sam Wood combined well only for Wood to shoot across the goal and McDonnell had an effort blocked, but it wasn’t to be with the home defence holding out marshalled by the awesome former Bromley captain Danny Carroll and the teams will lock horns again on Wednesday night at Hayes Lane.

Bromley: Walker, Young, Fieldwick, Sobers, Duku, Adeniyi, Moore, Osborn, Watts, McDonnell, Blackman. Subs: Wood, Bowry, Greenway, Simpson, Hind.
