This season are 6 goals scored are 50/50% between 46-60m and 76-90m

Goals Conceded is 1 each in the 16-30m, 46-60 & 61-75. We've conceded 4 goals in the final 15 minutes already for 57% but obviously 3 of those 4 were yesterday.

Wingers is the weakest area. Still can't believe we didn't bring in at least one more winger but it is what it is.

Midfield is high quality but light on numbers - i.e. next in line yesterday was Jairo which isn't good.

As we know, full backs are limited too in terms of numbers and quality.

Hopefully we'll get over these injuries soon though.

This ^^^^^ what worries me a bit is Joel Ward who’s a CPFC legend legacy will be damaged because Father Time has caught up with him now and he can’t maintain some of his previous performances. He’d be a valuable squad player still but we need a new RB.

Guardiola, arguably the best manager in the world, thinks there is more to be gained from having a small squad than is lost as a result of injuries. Man City have a 20 man squad as a result. I would argue we have 22 at the moment with 5 injured?:

Perhaps not ideally balanced and lacking quality/experience in parts but I’m not sure anyone will argue they’re not all likely to play some part this season. I’ve excluded Riedweld, Tomkins and Ferguson and the kids. Of course we could do with another winger, a younger right back and cover at left back but this isn’t fantasy football and bringing in those players in place of some of the above would weaken the parts that are now strongest. Two years ago we were bemoaning the lack of quality players in centre midfield and now we have both quality and depth. I’d much rather have Lerma than a new full back given the choice - and it was a choice.

Not that I am aware of. He was filmed and it was put on Social Media that he was back training on grass but on his own.

He has not trained (that I have seen) with anyone else and has missed pre-season due to a very serious injury.

He’s had a setback apparently, not a major one but unlikely to be back until October now. I don’t know that for sure but it was suggested on the post match FYP pod with Adam Sells saying it.

Much will depend on the fitness of Guehi, Lerma and Ayew and if fit then they play and most likely in a 4-2-3-1, i would like to see Schlupp rested as he has struggled to stamp his authority in games so far this season, i rate Joel Ward but currently needs to be rested aswell with his lack of pace showing and is being exploited, so taken out of the firing line for now will help him and Palace.
Playing at home i would like to see us show ambition and have a go, but we know Fulham will be no pushovers and like Villa have pace in the side making them dangerous.
